The Half Lives of Others

We continue to follow the election with stony faced horror, as the decision is put to the country: “which group of sociopathic bigots do you want to be in charge of pushing the nuclear button, which they have promised to push”? Then, a reading from the Tony Blair Institute on their plan to circumvent the need for democracy by creating a new, digital England entirely under their control.

I propose the point of departure into silly politics world was the day Ed Milliband decided to order a bacon sandwich at lunch

Funny thing about Vattenfall or any other State owned electric company here is that our energy prices are still increased because of some EU vs that's basically Germany's fault

The editing this time has quit a bit of cutting-mid-words. Nate might be a bit too tired during the editing.

November reached into her mind for an app and came up with the one that had 'Peg' in it.

RAGE at "AI" paper/test grading b/c there is literally no AI and in a physics 100 level class we had to do quizzes once a week on an online system and you could pick the correct answer but if your work wasn't the exact thing the teacher had fed in it would tell your your wrong, here's how you solve it, and the answer IS THE FUCKING SAME ANSWER YOU PUT IN!

As a recent discoverer of this show and a person from Canberra, I'm genuinely impressed you had a live show with 80+ people. I'm crushed that I move through time linearly and could not have experienced it.

The Melbourne live show is available on the £5 tier if you haven't found it already. I think the main difference between the two is missing Ben from Boonta Vista.

To give credit to a better sketch show from the 2000s, the Tony Blair Institute is trying to work out the answer to "what if we kill all the poor"

So... The Tony Blair Institute plays Helldivers 2? Since, you know, they seem to favor managed democracy.

The bit 13 minutes in (right after Milo makes a joke about Daedalus) seems to be mixed improperly such that you hear November laughing for twenty seconds and Milo intermittently cutting in. I think.

I joke that all us transsexuals should attempt to attain an independent nuclear detterent. The number of people who are horrified is genuinely one of the things that keeps me going.

Also, the US has a different ritual structure, the presence of the physical object of the "Nuclear Football" re-enforces the presence of and willingness to use the weapons, it is always to hand, when a US president is giving a speech outside the white house you can spot the military officer with the thing cuffed to their wrist in wide shots. Also, one of the things that is brought up particularly about Clinton by commentators on the right was that he didn't know where was (sent to the dry cleaners?) his code chit for significant periods of time. The communications from the Russian Federation on the subject of their nuclear doctrine is also very clear in the way they present and state their response and escalation options, as well a selection of things that could be seen as responses to asymmetric threats (for example, the use of low observable platforms to deliver conventional precision strikes to disrupt nuclear command and control links) like the supposed "Peremiter" system. I think I read a couple of occasions about Poot being asked on his annual phone in if he'd push the button, and Theresa May coulda taken a few notes on presenting the answer from him (at least the translations thereof, I don't read or speak Russian).

I've already listened to the Dr. Yakub opening 5 times. Can't stop laughing at the action movie opening with a V-2 rocket landing the right way up.
