A Legendary match I swear I think about at least once a week. 😅 Did not realize until now that this was a TL match, and this is what preceded TLC as we know it. One of the funniest things about this match is that a wrestling fan on Twitter recently did some investigating and found out that a Phish concert was taking place not too far from the arena that night and determined that Sandman had likely gotten Acid from some Hippie guy hanging outside the Phish show, possibly from the band itself.

The fact there are 2 sandman high on acid matches where he fights Sabu involving ladders is insane (in the other one Sabu is wearing green pants and Sandman thinks he’s Godzilla)

Fucked up Sandman is hilarious; this match and the Texas Death match against Cactus are some of my favorite Watch This and it would be great to watch more fucked up Sandman matches

it's like Sandman thought "hey I'm wrestling in Pittsburgh, I should pay tribute to a local sports legend" and the first name that came to mind was Dock Ellis

I would be hands on my face the entire time if I somehow had tried to agent this match and Sandman fucks it up from the very first moment. With that said, this is just an unmitigated disaster, but also a profoundly hilarious/watchable one. Holy hell.

This was like watching two kids from the 90s, have a backyard match, with their only context for wrestling being Taker vs Mankind Hell in a Cell and Hardyz vs E&C ladder match, but they at least had adult supervision from their drunk uncles who were telling them they weren't trying hard enough to pop the crowd.

aside from barely legal, ecw was DOGSHIT on ppv until heatwave 98. there’s a masato tanaka/doug furnas match somewhere that gets fucked up beyond belief. i think the main of that show is like a triangle tag team match with a giant hole in the ring canvas
