DEADLOCK Podcast #368 (Video)
"You guys talk about being students of The Game..."
Somehow, there are way more major moments in WWF history that went down on Heat than we ever realized! On this episode of the podcast, we're going to take a look back at this episode of WWF Sunday Night HEAT from July 25, 1999. This is the first time we're covering an episode of Heat that takes place on the same night as a PPV!
WWF Sunday Night Heat would often air one hour before a Pay-Per-View, live on television. This is taking place before the Fully Loaded 1999 PPV, which is going to be main-evented by the "End of an Era" First Blood Match between Stone Cold Steve Austin & The Undertaker. If Austin wins, Vince McMahon is gone from the WWF. If Undertaker wins, Austin can never challenge for the WWF Championship again. We hear from the fans throughout the night on who they think will win, and we also hear from Stone Cold. Briefly. Very briefly.
But, the reason we're checking out this show surprisingly is not because of any Stone Cold & Vince McMahon shenanigans. We're watching this to see the infamous interview between Jim Ross & Triple H, where Triple H proclaims himself as "The Game". He's getting prepared for a match against The Rock at Fully Loaded 1999, and he has a lot to get off his chest, and a lot of swear words to go along with it. It's time to shoot, jack.
We also get another look at the feud between both sides of D-Generation X, as Billy Gunn & Chyna have a lot to say about X-Pac & Road Dogg.
Of course, we can't forget about all the action-packed matches that come with this mini episode of RAW that they call Heat! Val Venis takes on Joey Abs of the Mean Street Posse, and Test looks for revenge. Meat just got ran through by Terri Runnels, and she demands that he have a match against The Godfather. In our main event, The Corporate Ministry's Viscera takes on former Ministry member, Christian!
All of that, and so much more, on this edition of the DEADLOCK Podcast!

You guys should definitely watch that Woodstock 99 documentary for a Watch This or The Long Way. There’s a certain cameo from a wrestler-to-be in it that would cause a crazy reaction. 😂😂😂
I love when you guys cover Raws, Smackdowns and Heat from my childhood. I watched this fully loaded live and one of the few VHS recordings I still have recorded illegally! Anyways great episode as always dudes!
Two things: Glen Ruth (Thrasher) was behind GTV so I’m pretty sure that was his voice for GTV. BloodMobile was a blood donation vehicle that used to show up at schools and community events.
The theater at WWF New York was just a Stage that Criss Angel performed magic on lol
When you watch the Woodstock 99 documentary on Netflix, keep and eye out for a special cameo in the first 5 min. It’s awesome.
These Sunday Night Heat shows have been so damn funny,
Oh please do a Watch This on the Netflix Woodstock '99 documentary, it's insane.
I’m playing this delicious ep while on a roadtrip, so the audio and video desyncs a little and James just looks like he is poorly adred in lol. Killer show boys😤
Ohhhhhhh MYYYYYY!!!!!
I can't deal with the fact that jawnny lives near me what da hell. Comically speaking? Showcase cinema?
Don't mind me, just posting the amazing Tri.Moon edit of this interview. https://youtu.be/-7UTHo5FhzE
Truly the end of an er-THE END OF AN ERA INDEED
END OF AN ERRAAAAAAA
I hope he hits his classic catchphrase: "and that is... The name of the Game" 👏👏👏
While I love the idea of WWE New York having a movie theater with wrestlers working at it, I think they meant theater like an amphitheater or a stage type deal.
More “Aw, Dude” content. This is the way.
Mystery Men is one of my all-time favorites, even if it's admittedly not great. You probably remember seeing bits of it in the music video for "All Star"
YOU TALK ABOUT CHASING RICHARD'S SON? I AM CHASE RICHARDSON!
Skkkkkewwweee
Fun fact about Woodstock 99; in the opening segment of the documentary about it, there is literally a shot of Mike 'The Balls' Mizanian in the crowd!
Triple H? That looks like Shane Douglas dude!
