Comics & Halloween: The Game | DEADLOCK Aftershow #31-366

For horror recommendations I would say Something is Killing the Children, Ice Cream Man, Stray Dogs, and Black Hole

Drink em if ya got em <3

saw justin credible wrestle at AIW earlier this summer and it was…something

The shot of Michael being behind james just staring the whole time was eerie asf

that escape james did when he was on the phone was like a scene from the movie

How these guys manage to make Halloween a fun game to hit up with the boys is literally an attribute among the giants fellas, hilarious stuff. Drink ‘em if you got ‘em 🍻

I think my favorite thing about this is hearing the smack talk that we learned about from the Killer Klowns era 😂

This straight up looks like the Friday the 13th game that died and that makes me SO happy! Friday the 13th was some of the most fun I had streaming in my life

always enjoy the aftershow

I've got the Predator vs Marvel full series, as well as Godzilla vs Marvel and a four-book Boba Fett series. The hunt for comics is just as fun as reading them.

Drink 'em if you got 'em COME ON WIT IT

JAWNY! Love that you’re getting into comics! I know others have mentioned these before, and i agree, check out writer/artist Daniel Warren Johnson. He's a big wrestling fan that incorporates wrestling moves and references in his work (Optimus Prime hits Decepticons with german suplexes, Rainmakers, and i think even a burning hammer in his Transfromers comic from Skybound. Beta Ray Bill (from Thor comics) hits a fire demon with The One Winged Angel from on top of a burning building onto a spike (from Beta Ray Bill: Argent Star). Its awesome! He has a comic about wrestling called Do a Powerbomb! I'd also think you'd really enjoy Absolute Batman by Scott Snyder and artist Nick Dargotta. Its sick af. Theres also a Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comic from Boom Studios that i heard was good. Sorry for the lack of horror recs. I mostly read superhero stuff. Enjoy your comic book exploration!

I'm currently reading "Daredevil: The Man Without Fear" and it's really good. I'd also recommend Tom Taylor's run on "Nightwing', Grant Morrison's "We3" and "All-New X-Men", Geoff Johns' "Green Lantern: Rebirth", and Garth Ennis' "Preacher."

If you like horror comics (i guess its more scifi) the twilight zone comics are killer rn. Also you ＮＥＥＤ　to read do a powerbomb. best wrestling comic best comic in general.

thanks for playing our game fellas!

Jawnny boutta learn where my name came from lol WE LOVE DANIEL WARREN JOHNSON YYEEEEAAAAHHHHH

This game is ridiculous, this video has successfully sold me on this game

i have a new dicord acc its lb_19973 or in short LB

We’re gonna need a more buff picture of Johnny flipping off the camera soon. What?! He’s buff! What?! He’s been in the gym! What?! He’s jacked!

Johnny should read “do a power bomb”

EDIT: Jawwny you also have to try Spawn. Not a guarantee you’ll like (it’s pretty infamous for its spotty quality in terms of writing) but I’d be remiss if I didn’t suggest that. Also check out Hellboy. Since you love horror Jawnny I’d recommend Something Is Killing The Children, American Vampire, The Saga of the Swamp Thing, Hellblazer, The Nice House on the Lake and The Immortal Hulk. I think you’d dig all of those. The Hulk one is a little continuity dense but I think you’ll get the gist of it. I’d also, as a few general recs would like to suggest Absolute Batman, Absolute Wonder Woman, and Absolute Martian Manhunter. They are all horror adjacent (especially Absolute Batman) and I think you’d dig them too.

I just got back into comics over the last year I will always recommend Invincible or any of the Absolute books in an Absolute Batman issue he hits the Stiener Screwdriver!

I SHOT HIM IN THE HEART! I SHOT HIM SIX TIMES!!

please lord just keep playing this game on here before it dies

Just started reading comics again and started with Absolute Batman and he hits the one winged angel in the first fucking issue.

You guys should unlock the DPW Behind the Scenes videos in the $10 tier for the $5 Deadlockites. K thanks

I just got back into comics, I'm a huge Silver Age DC and Post-Crisis guy so I've been rereading the 90s GL series. Emerald Dawn 1 and 2 then I'm making my way up to Emerald Twilight for the Parallax gimmick. Also not strictly horror but there are a LOT of good Dark Horse Aliens comics. If you ever find Aliens: Stronghold I'd give that a read, you'd probably fuck with Jeri CRAZY

Need y'all to just stream Halloween. These highlights were not enough

Drink 'em if you got 'em.

Whenever someone talks about Halloween and someone mentions Donald Pleasence, I hear in my head, "I SHOT HIM *SIX TIMES*"

If you want some comics to check out, the 2 I've been reading are Catacombs of Torment which is a fun horror anthology series and Operation: Iron Coffin, which is a 3 issue miniseries about Dracula fighting Nazis

Alright Johnny, look for a comic book artist by the name of Daniel Warren Johnson. Dude love pro wrestling and all his books have characters hitting moves. Optimus Prine hits a Rainmaker in his Transformers run. Look for his wrestling series called Do a Powerbomb

I have been waiting for this. Let’s go

This game was made by Raphael Siddiq from Tony, Toni, Tone! As are several Sonic games & Ft13.
