The next day would be the Wrestlemania that ended with Papa Shango missing his cue to interfere in Hogan vs Sid (not for the title, Macho defended it halfway through the show) and the return of the Ultimate Warrior. And people paid for that.

Just finished the episode, I loved Ron Simmons and the time he got. The ending promo is worth the hour.
Hot damn, Ventura was fantastic on this episode. Him and Ross are a great commentary team.
They would disagree if you asked either of them. The pairing grows awkward very quickly.

This is the first time I'm watching an episode before the pod and seeing Paul, JR and Austin on WCW is super cursed
Technically, the show known as WCW Saturday Night had been on the air since the 70's. First as Georgia Championship Wrestling, then as NWA World Championship Wrestling, then WCW Saturday Night's. This was just the rebrand of the show.
