It’s WCW Nitro from October 21, 1996! We’re on the road to Halloween Havoc 1996, and the New World Order are on a tear, taking out anyone and everyone in their path. WCW are still putting up a fight, but they need someone to step up to the plate and lead them to victory!
There’s only one man that can get the job done, and he makes his return to WCW after a month long absence; it’s STING! Sting is back, and for the first time, he makes an appearance with the beginning stages of the “Crow Sting” look. But, whose side is he on…?
Plus, “Macho Man” Randy Savage is having his heart strings pulled at, as Miss Elizabeth makes a plea for him to forgive her, despite her being with the NWO. Eric Bischoff showed him a video last week of her apologizing, and has the great idea of showing him another video this week!

Johnny always says something like "woah two first names" but James and Tony have two first names too. It's actually weird to not have two first names if you think about it. This makes no sense and I was Christmas tipsy when I signed up. At least I get to enjoy the boys in 2026!

can personally attest to the fact that high noon at mega mountain is worse than you could fathom. all the other movies in the series are childhood faves of mine (kick back specifically) but high noon is so godawful, the last time i tried to watch it with my siblings like 5 or 6 years ago we couldn't get through the fuckin thing. i hate it, i hate it, i hate it.
I loved the series a kid. I recently got the Blu-ray of them and I’m scared to revisit them as a 30 year old and haven’t watched them in 20 years. 😅
For the movie stuff - people were annoyed at babyface Hogan disappearing for months at a time then shilling these terrible made for TV movies on WCW programs when he came back. So as a heel they leaned into it by calling him "Hollywood" and having him promote shit like 3 ninjas as obnoxiously as possible. So it's less WCW thinking that the movie would be a hit and more leaning into Hogans new gimmick.

Hogan does wear the comb over/wig/thing at the Halloween Havoc match against Savage. Savage takes it from Hogan and wears it at one point during the match if I remember correctly.
