So some facts about UFC VI: This is the last appearance of Jim brown as he would be replaced by Don "The Dragon" Wilson in the next event. The Taktarov/Macias fight was a controversial one because they had the same manager, so the fight was allegedly fixed to get oleg to the final. Possibly why they instituted the rule that no fighters in the same camp can't face each other. The ref that officiated the alternate fights on ufc 6 was Taimak an martial artist and actor well known for playing Bruce Leroy in the Last Dragon movie (watch it!) Paul Varelans did get involved with ECW, and the funny story about him and missy hyatt was true too. But sadly passed in 2021 of COVID (RIP) Jeff Blatnick was not only a ufc commentator but also commentated Kurt Angle's Olympic gold metal win in 1996 (a future watch this if you want too). That's all I know for now, but as always you boys made this a fun SGH as always.

I was disappointed to learn that "Tank" Abbott is a full blown gimmick. No one ever called him that before this event and he never competed in any "pit fits". His manager also had him work heel which is why he mocked the knockout.

I takes forever for UFC to actually start vetting the fighters I swear, UFC 8 has Thomas Ramirez, who claims to be 200-0 in bare knuckle fights, and outweighed Don Frye by over 150 lbs of pure blubber. Somehow despite his alleged undefeated record, Frye best him instantly with like three jabs. Apparently in 200 street fights none of Thomas’s opponents threw the first punch everybody learns, because it took him by complete surprise and he had no counter to it.

Speaking of John McCarthy standing guys up, you should watch Ihor Potieria vs Cesar Almeida. It only happened a year ago but the referee literally didnt know the rules. He separated them everytime they got close and he let one guy keep eye poking the other. It was really bizarre.
