For me, the first successful flying nothing was done by Alberto Del Rio. I wish I could remember the match, but I remember making a gif of it for /wooo/. Del Rio did the whole arm flailing and everything, but he actually hits it instead of being countered.

BML is one of my favourite short lived promotions, very weird mix of talent on the these shows but they were very fun nonetheless.

BML is one of my favorite weird promotions ever. Shibata was awesome and so were the mma guys they brought in. Hope yall watch more from them!
Big Mouth Loud BABEE! Weird semi-shooter promotion, that I believe was funded by New Japan with the intention to get Shibata over.
BML formed when a high up guy backstage in New Japan got removed from his position so he left to make his own promotion and took some of the wrestlers with him. Shibata was being built to be there ace but the company folds before he really gets solidified and he mostly leaves wrestling for mma for the next couple of years until he eventually returns to New Japan in 2012
Also the Sakura Genesis match you were talking about is my favourite match ever, I don’t really rewatch matches often but I’ve seen it 7 or 8 times and it’s my go to when trying to get friends to watch wrestling with me
