It’s October 4th, 2007 and this is the first 2 hour episode of TNA iMPACT! As Sting is in the ring after the 1st match, Kurt Angle comes on the screen! He is at Sting’s Son Garrett’s football game! In a full suit cheering on Garrett as he plays football. The entire episode threads through the Kurt Angle football game! It’s one of the best segments that no one talks about! Only Kurt Angle could make it work! Team 3D attacks Black Machismo and Sonjay Dutt backstage and demand that they get a Tag Team Title Match tonight! The match is made and they vs Team Pacman Jones for the titles. However, the match ends in shenanigans with The Steiner Brothers making a return and chasing Team 3D away! Plus, TNA is on the road to Bound For Glory 2007!

Loved this episode this had me at work laughing. Random though: Regal using brass knuckles on both hands would be interesting
2007 TNA is so underappreciated. Christian Coalition, Kurt, Joe, Abyss and Sting in the main event, LAX in the tag division and Black Machismo and MCMG in the X Division. Plus there was a decent stretch in 07 where the actually tried to give matches decent time on TV, they even had that Christian/Angle/Rhino triple threat that went for an entire episode. Even the bullshit is at least funny bullshit, like Black Reign or Raven's goofy stable. Watch any epsiode of Impact from this time and you'll see good wrestling and something hilarious.

It sucks that she was brought in as part of a storyline where VKM were saying women shouldn't be wrestlers. Like, in a sane storyline Christy Hemme (or Gail Kim or any other Women's wrestler on the roster) would have convinced Roxxi to turn on VKM because she's obviously skilled and they're being weird assholes. But unfortunately it's all part of that "wanting to take women's wrestling seriously but can't get rid of the bullshit" dichotomy TNA was in
