Q&A Thread for DEADLOCK Podcast Episode #274

Since I've seen James post Lil B and the occasional Cash Money era songs on his Twitter, I just wanted to ask what rap artists or groups you guys are into, if any. Also have you listened to the GNX album by Kendrick?

First time question asker, I know all are into slipknot, and knocked loose, and I’m pretty sure I’ve heard James drop the phrase “crowdkilling” in some past content, so I’m wondering how into the heavy/underground music scene you guys are, and your favorite bands in that realm? (IG:@dishonoredsucks)

What's your least favorite spot when you're watching a match? The Overdrive doesn't count.

What if one day you woke up and your nipples were completely gone like no scars or anything just flat skin and then once you leave your room you find out your dad died last night and several days later you find out that your entire life he had been sneaking in your room while you slept and sucking on your chest to make two gigantic hickeys where your nipples should be because you were born without them not for any sexual reason just so you would fit in...

Hey Boys! I'll try to keep this one short! I got my partner who never watched a second of wrestling into it when I suggested I show them the best era starting with the January 5th 1998 episode of RAW. We then proceeded to watch every episode and Pay-Per-View up until where we currently sit at the August 23rd 2000 episode... They have fallen in love with such characters as Mick Foley, The Oddities, Ken Shamrock, Jacqueline and their all time favorite Chyna... My question being was there wrestlers that you had an innocent unconditional love for regardless of understanding of the Biz, backstage politics or wrestling prowess that you just loved to see and had a big impact on you when you were fresh to the wrestling product? What has been some of the most surreal moments for you guys, since starting DPW?

Hey, boys. Not so much a Q that I need A'd, but I want to let you know of an unfortunate sentimental moment I have with a DEADLOCK clip. Back in September, I showed my mom and brothers the “Goldberg eats corn the long way” clip. They got a good chuckle out of it. Then my brother turns to me and asks, “How do you eat corn the long way?” I said, “Well, how do you eat corn on the cob? Now think about what the ‘long way’ means.” Once it clicked, he busted out laughing. The face he made will forever be burned into my brain. Five weeks later, my little brother passed away in a freak car accident. I want to thank you guys for inadvertently creating a moment I will never forget. And it only makes sense to me, a wrestling fan, having a sentimental memory with the phrase “Goldberg eats corn the long way.” The podcast, the Patreon, and DPW have done a lot of heavy lifting in keeping my spirits up in the last month. And I will forever be indebted to that.

I have a good hypothetical for you boys, if you had a time machine and could book any wrestler that's dead, who would you book and why??
