I think Araki watched Smile and decided to impliment the 'smile monster' into his series. I mean, when Paco's dad is shown and starts transforming, he resembles the monster itself a lot, mainly in the multiple mouths. The monster itself actually manifests as people the victims are close to, and exploits their trauma/memories to get to them, so it's very similar.

Paco getting told that he'll abandon everyone like his mother abandoned him and the moment he gets saved he makes it known to his friends that he didn't let go of the kid... That really got to him.

I think Araki's art style dived the most into realism at the end of Part 7 and start of Part 8. The Valentine fight in black and white... it's just such a beautiful thing. As Part 8 went on he experimented with some more "caricaturization" in some aspects and character faces getting more round (GrandGuerrilla has a great thread analizing it from back when JoJolion ending). And Part 9's art style already feels unique too. I find it so admirable that Araki is always going out of his comfort zone and trying new things in his art style, even over 40 years after he started his career.

Someone needs to hand araki a biology book because I dont think he knows how much blood is in a human body

So I think Rohan’s going to communicate the Lava Rock’s location to Jodio by putting clues into Pink Dark Boy. It’s why he reaffirms him as his number one fan before hanging up.

I hope araki still gets some time off and doesn’t overwork himself
