My greatest hope is that Jodio’s choice to chase down Key West completely backfires. iirc this is the first major disagreement we’ve seen him and Dragona have and I’d love for him to have just destroyed any chance of getting Howler to sign those docs AND lose the lava rock. It would also be interesting to see Key West get away, become vengeful for Laem’s death, and be chased down by both Jodio & co and Howler. So much potential here!

there is something really endeering about Howler. Like he is a horrible person, we know he's activly destroying nature and profiteering from weapons manufactoring. But the fact that he doesn't have these grandiose plans within plans and is seemingly just an entitled rich person is a really interesting direction to take the main bad guy (at least for now)

Honestly I know you said "the protagonist is always right" but It is kinda feeling like Jodio is being too stubborn, and maybe this will come to bite him later, although its hard to say
