Dev Diary 109

Hey all, TD here.

Currently Ch4Up7 sits at 840 static images, 54 animations, and 17,983 words.

That works out to 94 statics, 17 animations, and 4,018 words added to the project over the past three weeks – of which, honestly has been kinda a blur for me.

Works is progressing, albeit relatively slowly. I basically took the last week of January off to be with my mother and help her plan / set up my uncle’s memorial. As is no surprise with my workaholic partner, work did get done during that time. GIL added another batch to the pile of prepped animations we haven’t added to the totals yet.

Thankfully, this last week, we have been on a roll. Problems with pacing got solved, the various endings to the very stupid scene we gleefully threw ourselves at got figured out, and there hasn’t been a day where GIL hasn’t woke up to a growing script.

Basically we’re currently finishing up a complicated Veronica branch, on a “game” that has three different outcomes, and with a variety of ways of getting there. I alluded to it last dev diary. It’s been a lot of fun planning, executing, and seeing it come to fruition.

Next will be Rosalind’s side of things. If not more linear, it will be less complicated structurally. Don’t read that as us skimping on her side, I just mean its gonna be less of a pain to plan, pace, and code.

Following that there is a big game, a Hana GF scene, and other various odds and ends to close out the night.

So that’s where we’re at so far. The end of the update, unfortunately, isn’t in sight as of yet.

Thank you all for your well wishes after the last diary. Time and time again I am reminded how lucky we are to have a patient and kind community. Some of you even shared your own experiences with death and, although I have not replied in the comments, I just want you to know how much that meant to me.
