HHD face expressions too subtle?

This was a new one for me on Reddit today from a comment, "they seem like they have no expressions at all," which since I rendered the images, I know isn't the case - but, I'm always curious when I see feedback I've never read before.

Are the expressions in Her Heart's Desire the remake version too subtle, or are they just right? I can always crank up the dials more in the scenes if they are too subtle.
