Regarding Brimstone and Roses...

Hey everyone,

It's been awhile since I've talked about Brimstone and Roses and a potential print version, but I wanted to thank all of y'all for your patience and give y'all an update. After a year of submissions thanks to the hard work of my lovely agent, we are putting a print edition of the first season on hold to wait for the right fit. This is heartbreaking to me... believe me, I am the biggest fan of Brimstone and Roses, but it sort of just is what it is. Unfortunately, BnR is just a complicated pitch at this moment in time.

Still, this doesn't mean the end for Brimstone and Roses.

Eventually I'd like to explore self-publishing options, if not for anyone else than for myself. As many of y'all know, I've moved on to working on my newest project, My Werewolf Girlfriend, so this could take some time, but I do want y'all to know I'm still trying. I love Bea and Laz, and I'm still very proud of this series. It means a lot to me, and I'm so sorry I don't have better news.

I'd really like to thank every editor who gave my series a shot regardless, and of course a huge thanks to my agent Stephanie for helping me get this far to begin with. Thank y'all for always being so kind and understanding as an audience, and I hope when the time comes that I can pick Brimstone and Roses up again, y'all will still be around.

I apologize that this post took so long to make. To be candid, finally posting this feels like I'm revealing an open wound to everyone. It just feels like a deep personal failure (which obviously it's not personal, it's just business). Still, it would also feel unfair to have y'all holding out waiting for an announcement. I kept telling myself I'd publish the post once I finished drawing a doodle, but every time I looked at it I just got sad, lol. Such is the life. I do wanna eventually draw Bea and Laz again though when I'm less emo.
