Version 1.2 (Changes)

Hi guys!

We are faced with an interesting bug associated with the transition to version 1.2.

Version 1.1 and Version 1.2 differ from each other in structure. Because of that there were some errors with the hair and the bodies of colonists. Also, the colonists grew up instantly.

we have long searched for the cause of the error and it seems to me to have found.

- In the new version 1.2 you can not have the old game. Due to the strong differences in the structure of the files, you should:

  • Delete cache

  • Start a new game

We tested it on our Account and on the test version of the game.

At the moment we do not see an error with the hair, maturation colonists and no mistakes with the floor.

let us know if you find anything else.

Have a nice day and see you soon!

The scroll bar on the page always disappears, which cuts off part of the game and I have to refresh and setup my screen just right so I can see everything. I'm using the newest version of Chrome. Is this a known issue?

AS · January 5, 2017

ya, I just started over after having spent about a week on a colony and now I just had my first batch of kids. Again they are all boys. Please post a comprehensive instructions for how to have this game work. I am going to drop my support down to the $1 level for now and will cancel if this can't be resolved.

I've still only had boys. I am using google chrome. Should I be using something else?

C
Christopher Petersen · January 5, 2017

Hello, is there a way to skip time? like sleep or something? awaiting hours for some resources is making me feel bored :/

H
Hardy Har · January 8, 2017

Yep, feels more like a chore than it does a game.

P
PANDORIUM · January 4, 2017

Yes. The error should not occur. It has been associated with the browser. When you upgrade your browser in all pregnant colonists dumped a future child's sex on the boy))) We have corrected this error and will now be a girl. ;)

P
PANDORIUM · January 4, 2017

now you have to be born a girl.

C
Christopher Petersen · January 4, 2017

woohoo! I just checked my colony and i got 3 new girls and 1 boy. :D

C
Christopher Petersen · January 4, 2017

one of the girls is named Michael though :)

Andrea Durall · January 4, 2017

Ok, update. I am now up to 27 births. All male. The 3 that were born today were also male and I did clear my cache before each time playing the game.

A
AS · January 4, 2017

ya, mine are all boys still too. I just dumped my settlement, which sucks because we were up to 37 people. This is getting to be frustrating. Please sort it out so that I can stay happy to contribute to this project.

P
PANDORIUM · January 4, 2017

hm....

z
zwilnik · January 4, 2017

Both of today's kids were male.

A
Andrea Durall · January 3, 2017

I had 4 more boys today. I have gotten all females pregnant again. Will let you know if I get any females from the next set of births. On the other hand, the aging process and genetics seem to be going well. The children haven't been born a race that they shouldn't or anything like that and the aging goes well.

P
PANDORIUM · January 3, 2017

Yes. Thank you. Let me know what the results of birth.

P
PANDORIUM · January 2, 2017

Hello. We did a test. We made some changes to the system of sex selection at birth. Let me know if the will continue to be born only boys.

A
Annoying Wizard · January 2, 2017

Ok, I'm not one to throw the word "bug" around lightly...but since I started my newest game, I've given birth to 28 colonists and ALL OF THEM HAVE BEEN BOYS. That pushes the definition of "coincidence" in my book.

A
AS · January 2, 2017

yes this all on gender thing is still going. Will restarting help? This is a bug and it needs to get fixed.

A
Andrea Durall · January 1, 2017

I am currently at 18 births. All males. I have 4 couples breeding every 24 hours. Before I started a new game, I had 8 births before the latest fix and they were all female. Perhaps the problem is that at the first breeding, the result of male or female is random but once a gender is chosen, it doesn't randomize the rest of them?

In addition to Ccheev's comment I've noticed that I've also lost some minerals between log ins. So please increase the mineral quota to raise the gaming experience :-)

C
Ccheev · December 29, 2016

maybe Purchase resources would also be good.

C
Ccheev · December 29, 2016

I have noticed after playing the game that resource gathering takes a while 30 minerals a day so with that math it would take 166 days to get 5000 minerals to build anything in the game... maybe give more resocres or some type of time dilation.

P
PANDORIUM · December 29, 2016

Yes) It is necessary to look.

P
PANDORIUM · December 29, 2016

Have updated the system. We corrected some errors.

A
Andrea Durall · December 29, 2016

I cleared my cache before logging in after you posted this. One of my females gave birth and I have my first newborn! Yay! I do have all males and no females but I think it is just coincidence.

A
Annoying Wizard · December 28, 2016

Ok, on this new colony I *definitely* found a bug. I had colonists get pregnant yesterday. This afternoon, I went to check on them and they had given birth. When I went to view the "children", they were already adults. I started to assign them to various tasks in the colony and had half of them assigned before I noticed that the statistics block for all of them listed them as being only 6 years old. 6 years old, yet they're appearing as full adults and they are working at tasks across the colony. (They were all boys, though I don't think that was a bug. And the other day, I had boys birthed that appeared as children as they were supposed to, so this is just weird.)

same here and i did start over

A
Andrea Durall · December 28, 2016

Ok, I cleared my cache and started a brand new game after you posted this bug fix. I assigned 5 to mining, 5 to farming, and the other 8 to breeding, 4 males and 4 females. I got all 4 couples pregnant an hour apart in real time so I could tell their children apart. My first couple just gave birth to a boy named Teddy. I still got no newborn. Instead he is a fully grown male that says he is 6 years old. I will clear my cache again before I log in for the next birth but is there something else I should be doing?

A
Andrea Durall · December 28, 2016

Just an update...all 4 of my women gave birth to boys. They do differ in appearance and names but they all were adults at birth but listed as 6 years old. Less than an hour later, they are all 23 years old. I cleared my cache before each birth. All my females are pregnant once again so I will let you know what happens with them tomorrow.

Raphael Stark · December 28, 2016

Playing 1.2, is the mining really that slow? It's been like, 3 days since i started playing only got 170 minerals. And no pregnancy so far. So, the way it is right now, i can't do anything but wait... weeks, before i can build another structure.

F
Fallen Angel Creations · December 27, 2016

I just restarted... after bug fix, got two girls with guy names one Hugo one Nathan i cant change names after they assigned to breeding

A
Annoying Wizard · December 27, 2016

I have already cleared my browser cache (at least, I think I did; I'm not used to using Windows 10 & Microsoft Edge), and it was still giving me the changing hair and breasts bug. I started another new game, just to test to make sure, and I encountered what I deemed a bigger problem in the gameplay (rather than a bug in the game). Usually, I assign the 18 colonists I start my game with like this: 5 working the farm 5 working the mine 4 males and 4 females in reproduction This time, I started with: 5 working the mine 10 working the farm 1 male and 2 females in reproduction The problem is this: Farm Level 1 - Requires 5 colonists / generates 30 food Farm Level 2 - Requires 10 colonists / generates 32 food So, the extra 5 colonists produced only 2 more food. That's not even enough for the 5 new farmers to feed themselves, much less the growing colony population. If I start with my usual assignments, and put every new colonist I birth into working the farm (and every 5 people in the farm produce only 2 extra food), the game would progress like this... Start: 5 working the farm 5 working the mine 4 males and 4 females in reproduction 18 population 30 food produced 12 extra food / day First new batch of colonists are born: 9 working the farm 5 working the mine 4 males and 4 females in reproduction 22 population 30 food produced 8 extra food / day Second batch of colonists are born: 13 working the farm 5 working the mine 4 males and 4 females in reproduction 26 population 32 food produced 8 extra food / day Third batch of colonists are born: 17 working the farm 5 working the mine 4 males and 4 females in reproduction 26 population 34 food produced 12 extra food produced / day Fourth batch of colonists are born: 21 working the farm 5 working the mine 4 males and 4 females in reproduction 30 population 36 food produced 6 extra food produced / day Fifth batch of colonists are born: 25 working the farm 5 working the mine 4 males and 4 females in reproduction 34 population 38 food produced 4 extra food produced / day As you can see, the food production would not keep up with the growing population. The colony would never have enough food to grow past a certain point.

P
PANDORIUM · December 27, 2016

Thanks for the detailed report. Perhaps I should make the function of statistics in the game that was clearly seen what is happening in the colony. when activated farm you get 30 One unit of food, level 1 farm produces 30 One unit. Level 2 brings 50 One unit. on this we see 50-18 = 32 We will check the calculations, but food production should allow an increase in population.

1.2 is a great patch :) the new features look amazing. Just a question in my play through we made 8 or so new colonists and im either lucky or i found a bug because there all female. Also this is my first time reporting bugs so sorry if this is the wrong way to do it.

P
PANDORIUM · December 27, 2016

Hi. everything is fine. I'll check this bug. but should also give birth boys.
