Huge chunk of refactoring.
Refactoring means - repair and bring things to order, you otherwise won't like to touch.
- First, I moved deals that are made with clients from reception to an accessible separate entity. Because now reception is not the only place to create such deals.
- Than I worked on char and client sheets. I brought them and item wardrobe together, to make them accessible from any game screen, not only from reception and hero cabinet. They were supposed to work like this, but in a hurry temporary tie to reception stayed forever. Lots of existing and potential bugs were catched and fixed in the process. Although it might bring new ones, but at least now the whole engine system inside is in order facion.
- fixed staff panel that appears from home plan. Now if you choose level up tab, only chars requires level up will be shown and scrolled through next button. Making easier to navigate and level up all your characters.
- client preferences and bonus slider now works a bit different. Client won't chose exhausted or low mood girls. Bonus slider now can give only 10% max from the client price. But you'll see the point when the bonus enough to surpass mood penalty.
- same receptionist works now independently. It used to secretly open clients tab and simulate to click offer. Which caused sometimes missed clients, etc. Now fixed.
- lots of testing were made. Since I touched a very basic mechanics it influenses to a lot of stuff. Which gave an opportunity to chop some dence weed out of it.
It was boring technical stuff to listen to, but it was pretty much what I was doing. Think that's enough for one dive into the basic code. Next I'm going to give attention to the gym and maybe some other more representable stuff.

Yeah. Out of curiosity. Would anyone be interested in a revival/remake of this, but this time with less broken english, original sprites and a *real* engine?
Mate at its peak, this got to 16K!!! I was here sicne 0.9. (I scrolled down to find my first comment, sad I know!). If it was done in something modern like Unity or Unreal Engine and had high quality sprites and replayability it would be great. There is clearly a market for it. Marketing wouldn't be too hard either, a post on F95, LOK forums etc would get the ball rolling. And there are others there who can contribute if you need help.

the lead dev is a ukranian that goes by the alias marune. it is likely that the other devs left over time and the work got to much for marune and that he just left, if he wouldve told about him leaving the funds would dry out and an oof would be large. info is very hard to get atm but ill try my best to get more! i made a patreon account just for this comment!

Right well we developers never get the full amount you pledge. I could be wrong and these are approximate maths: (https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/articles/360027674431) $1 Pledge: 5% + 10 cents > Patreon Platform Fee (for having an account with patreon) 5% > Patreon Processing Fee (for them billing, collecting and chasing payments. So already that $1 would be: $0.80 THEN.... 1% Paypal fee: $0.79 is what we get, WITHOUT factoring VAT tax for European customers, Income tax that has to be declared and stolen from us etc. So if there were a lot of fake accounts set up for say $1 payment it would need to be be balanced as on its own it would result in a negative. If all those accounts were Simbro's own, then the maths would be each $1 of his would become only $0.79, losing money. You would need a monthly interest of at least 12% per month to break even from such a figure. As long as however you had someone else pledge of $1, you would have $0.79 which would afford you 6 fake pledges of your own money. The concept is very similar to fractional reserve banking which is used in in the US Federal Banking system and the UK Bank of England financial system. For every $1 or £1 you put in a bank, the bank can lend out more than that.

I think you are underestimating the indifference of absent minded people with too much money. find it absolutely likely that there are several hundred people who pledged a dollar each and then totally forgot about it. When they finally get around to checking their Patreon receipt, they may realize that there have been no updates in nine months, but then again, they may not.

It's pretty clear that whoever had the project for the past year lost access to the BlogSpot before they took over. I think that for this project to come back, someone will need to take over the code, start a new Blog, and basically just go with it. I'm guessing that it has been abandoned for three reasons. 1, they can make a decent wage without doing any work whatsoever. The project has had no updates or comments of any kind for more than 8 months, and is still raking in money. 2, it is in a format that is going away. The code has a limited shelf life, moving forward they would need to move to a new format. I'm not sold on this, I anticipate some sort of emulator for Flash even after it is no longer supported, but it has to be on their mind. 3, The code is probably a mess. Every time they fix something,t hey break two or three other things. It took a hell of a lot of work to make the game playable again, and the last release is less playable than the second to last release. I think they broke it after making progress, saw what a mess it was, and gave up. Or died. Or got arrested while spending all that free and easy money in the night market. Take your pick.

Legend has it, Marune, the original concept creator of the game and user of Cortas characters and animations, died. Some say he died in a car accident. Some said he died from illness. Others suggested he met an alien and left for her home planet where death does not exist. In his absence, an impostor, the countdown bandit, came to control some of the basics of this game. They were able to add new underwear to the models and a gym that was probably already in the game but was not live yet. Assumably, if they had the ability to mess with the game, they also had access to the pay the account generated. As such, the milked and sucked every last cent they could and have not stopped yet. They have not even posted any messages on this seemingly dead game since last August. Now, for good reason, I have personally deduced that the reason we have not heard from anyone in such a long time is because they, themselves, are now in fact dead. And I know how. As they where leaving their 1 room apartment located in Vihn Tan, Vietnam, a piano dropped on their head. It was tragic. I seen the artists renditions of what occurred. Karma found it's mark.

1) Finish your main patreon page first. 2) Your tiers are $1, $5 & $10 with $10 being the tier to access new versions of the game with $1 being pictures and $5 being pictures and polls. Most creators start with basic video or game versions at $1-$3. You may wish to change that, especially on an untested product that isn't out yet and we have seen no portfolio of your prior work. 3) Using character parodies CAN be dangerous vis a vis law suits, i know you have changed them but the test in court is the degree to which they have been changed. 4) There is nothing on your page about who YOU are, putting a face or even some personal detail to a brand can built trust. This game is dead, the guy who created the models that they used for their game closed off his platform, it was no longer public domain. Shortly after that Simbro went completely silent. Seems pretty obvious that instead of hiring someone who knew programming, the Simbro team was just using the platform without really understanding any of its coding.

To all those who actually want to see something that is making progress then I recommend "Studio Lupiesoft" on Patreon. They make good work but don't have a lot of support so I ask that anyone reading this to at least check them out and see what you think. Also I highly recommend checking out "Team Nimbus" for their game as well. It's sort of like Breeding Sim but has a very interesting story about it.

el problema aqui es el juego continuo creciendo sin tener un control de proceso, muchos bug escalaron hasta un punto muy molesto, se puede ver en cada entrega que algunas cosas que funcionaban, dejan de funcionar o lo hacen de mala forma y que el desarrollados no pudo solucionarlo, eso sumado a las criticas, hace que sea un trabajo muy poco grato, incluso dan ganas de regresar y hacer todo de 0, el que realizo el juego parece que uso modulos o codigo de otras fuentes y los fue adaptando, desgraciadamente estos funcionaron muy mal entre si en mas de un caso. Por mejor pagado que sea un trabajo, si te hace daño de alguna forma, o sientes que sacrificas mas de lo que ganas, lo mas normal es que lo dejes. Si quieres realizar un juego similar, puedes usar herramientas como unity o gamemaker para hacer proyectos similares, ambos motores tienen herramientas que te ayudan a organizar los elementos e integrarlos (si descargas modulos) *Los modulos son partes del juego ya hechas que puedes importar o pegar en tu proyecto y usarlas ahorrandote mucho trabajo, no obstante estas pueden contradecirse de alguna forma y es cuando hay problemas

Btw its definitely gonna have sex and races like humans, elves, catgirls etc. To keep it simple everyones gonna use the same body but everyone gonna have different weights from skinny to very thick. That will make it 100x easier to make clothes and save me days of work. I just want a game that I can play a crazy powerful warrior mage from a warriors guild with tons of people all over the world that praise me, and a game with sex. I find it makes my skyrim playthrough much more diverse and realistic.
Well, honestly I need to get the body, hair and clothes ready first. Thats what I'm gonna be working on until Monday. Then the sex animations which is probably gonna be hell. I want this game to bridge the gap between AAA games and sex games which means I need AAA graphics, realistic bodies and a working, fun game without sex in it at all. I want the sex to work like how skyrim sexlab mods work if you haven't already checked them out. As it is now, the game is a working RPG with the animations and NPC behaviors. I'm definitely gonna go by a weight system like in skyrim though, no real body options for now until I'm done the game.

Been working an a new open world game that's a carbon copy of Simbro, just set 1000 years ago, with realistic graphics. At this point I've got a character creator with face/body options. Not much to show for it until I at least get the game mechanics and sex animations working. At some point in two weeks I should be ready to add a day/night cycle where every morning 10 girls are spawned at a bar with a chance to take them home. Would people actually be interested in a game like that?

Three thousand dollars a month for absolutely nothing. The last update was broken AF, and that broken useless update was released last August. Almost six months of absolute silence. The blogspot hasn't been updated in years. Apparently the original project leader died, and someone with the password for the Patreon but not the Blogspot password took over to milk the project. They actually made a little bit of progress, and if they had been truthful about what was happening this project would probably still be going forward. Hell, plenty of people with the right skills would have been willing to step up and help for a share of the take, which was roughly ten thousand per month at that time. But since they weren't truthful, they turned all the goodwill into hate, and apparently they've given up but have decided to see how much free money they can milk from the suckers. Lots of us were giving them the benefit of the doubt, for a long time, but the more they lied to us and even trolled us, the worse the hate got. I think the project was pretty cool, but whoever took it over and is refusing to update it now has been pretty awful to the fans. The backlash has been epic. It's a shame.
And it's now less than $3,000...what a sad and painful end to something which started off as hopeful.

The game is dead. Corta, the guy that they were getting their game's models from, closed off his platform. They can't make their characters anymore so instead of telling us about this they just decided to wait for the well of money to run dry.

Yep, Simbro is dead. Corta, the platform they used to create their character models decided that they didn't want their platform for public use. Simbro could have put in some extra work to make their own character models, but seems as though they just decided to give up

August 6th was the last update making it 100 days since anything was mentioned... 100 days x 24 hours = 2400 hours of inactivity... 2400 hours x 60 minutes = 144,000 minutes. They have personal things to take care of just like anyone else but this is clearly not their full time job. *Two months of inactivity* and still gaining $10,010 - taxes of course. I should be amazed at how people are still holding out hope for some sort of progress to this game, but I'm not. If I start my own Patreon page and say I'm going to do something, but not do it, can I get some of your money too? Only 1$ and I promise I'll say something 5 or 6 times a year, if I get around to it.

The blogspot hasn't been updated since June of 2017. Money is still falling. No news, not even a backer message apologizing for the delay because of some problem that they can't fix. I'm guessing, which is all we can do because the developer sure as hell isn't going to tell us anything, but I'm guessing this project really is dead. It appears that when the open source models were pulled down from where they were hosted, that really killed the game. I was enjoying trolling the really angry guys, but even that has gotten old. I'd say this project is done.

There is not much to say, the project grew more than what the developer could control, it ended up becoming saturated and collapsing, if it returns it will be because of the time or lack of money, instead I would throw everything and start a new project instead of fixing this, even though it generated a very large community, it turned out to be very toxic, even if the project was very stuck and surely it was necessary to revise it from 0, surely some of those who complained constantly but wanted to play the game are already doing moods for the game or some custom

So I downloaded the game from a free site and been playing it. So far I'm happy with how many less bugs I'm seeing. Still some combat bugs but nothing to annoying. Some other stuff I can't remember. Gym works although I haven't really used it. What I did notice is that alice...I just asked one of the Male employees I had what's up he says he wants to fuck alice. I call her in ask her to provide service she does it. Don't know if that's a bug but ok damn. Her dignity is still 65 btw
Back to no posts for 1-3 months at a time again! The one thing I really do love about this game is how they troll their supporters! All we need now is a countdown!

So my question is why help him live the dream while you work for your dollar. It's translated into a lot of different languages actually, but it looks like in 2.7b changing the language doesn't work. I've tried the Spanish translation before, and it seemed passable.
i played the version on a free site and im just glad i dont see the damn dummy in the streets anymore. altho i still cant find the damn hospital or move maps o i guess they took that out to fix the bugs or something. im starting to think they are actually taking their work serious. its slow but they are trying to revamp there game. i have seen many designers do this like vis major. it usally comes out to be better in the end even thought its a slow process. i dont expect them to actually add anything new for a while and i am thankful for that. they need to fix the current stuff and solidify the foundation so it doesn't fall on itself again before adding anything new.

are the cheat codes still the same? i tried spongebob in 2.7b and it doesnt seem to work, i cant change the looks or stats of any of the characters, however when i did the "forgetaboutit" password, that works.
if you have a hex editor installed you can find the cheat codes easily.

Here it is: It's more technical update then new features update. Spent more time on polishing char sheet and related interfaces. Now you can access it when you meet thugs on the streets. Being able to set bonuses for girls. As was mentioned earlier, now it's more flexible to show and operate it from any game screen how it should be. Shop repaired. Tons of bugs being found and fixed. Now it works good. Added a few small options, like rotate character and sorting button in the inventory and shops. You can toggle through 'outfits', 'accessory', 'underwear', 'weapon'. I'm playing the game more then ever now, and lack of basic features cut my eyes. Being through a lot of testing since we are changing and repairing the basics in the game it could touch and ruin any aspect of it. Even now I can't be sure, all of events are working properly. Let us know in the comments what's is broken. If you remember the actions to reproduce the bug - it helps a lot to find and fix it. I know we spend a lot of time on this char sheet. But it's necessary to fix and polish the basics before go on things. P.S. Our artist come with idea for police car scene and action, to embrace notoriety stat which now does almost nothing. We have no problem with the game they're making, nor would we have any problem with the rate of progress at which they are making the game. Considering you can contribute as little as a dollar a month and still get access to the most recent releases I don't see that major of an issue with them taking time to fix things. I understand a lot of these issues are long standing problems and the developers don't pay attention to contributors bug reports but at least the builds are getting slowly but surely more stable as time goes on. Yeah sure everytime they fix something something else breaks but that's just game coding in general most of the time and yeah, sure unity would be more stable but then they'd be basically starting all over again from jump street and the past 2 years of struggling expansion would basically have literally been for nothing. As far as I'm concerned, the loss of $1 a month is not too steep for my blood no matter how long it takes. The game is good (when it works) and it's unique and I support them. TLDR: It's only a dollar a month, stop complaining.

Finish fixing the game and code so that it is stable and easy to edit. After that start working on stuff. Hell you don't need fancy stuff like making the android work but require power, just adding more poses and adding some of the outfits to the game would be nice.

Simbro earned all this hate. Check out that last two years worth of comments, if you want to understand. The biggest haters are the ones that stood up for them the first six months or so that they were screwing this up. That said, I'm still watching this train wreck. If they actually release another bug fix this month (not next month, not "we are sorry the game won't compile now and wait until September, this effing month) then I will be a supporter again, just to try to quit dumping on whoever took over this mess. But the hate is real, it was earned, and it will take more than or two on time releases to make the hate less. And after years of silence, BS, and broken promises, the hate isn't likely to ever go away. I want to be fair, but right now, fairness calls for suspicion and anger, because that's what past behavior has earned.

Reducing the entropy of a program is always valuable - I know there's the <whine>but there's nothing NEW</whine> attitude, but without clean-ups, you won't EVER get anything new, as it's just one long regression/fix/regression/fix cycle. Be patient: my experience is that once the refactorings are done, we will see a rapid pace of new features.
How long have you been following this game/project? All these guys have done for the last year is cast out some bullshit story so they can get that end of the month money grab a little higher. Now that their support is finally dipping to just over $5k a month, they might actually do some work.

Liking the changes, i'm happy this project is still not abandoned. I know many people are still giving a lot of hate for the long time it is in production, but i'm having lots of fun with even the basic alpha. Anything more will be fun to try out when it comes out. :)
