Goodbye Eternity 0.14.1 AVAILABLE NOW
Hi everyone, I hope you’re all doing well.
Here we are. After several long months of waiting, version 0.14 of Goodbye Eternity is finally ready.
I won’t pretend this update went exactly as planned. It took much longer than expected, and honestly, I was probably too ambitious with it. But now that it’s done, I can say one thing for sure: this is the biggest content update we’ve released since the launch of the game.
This update doesn’t just add new scenes. A large part of the beginning of the game has been rebuilt from the ground up.
The intro has been rewritten, new events have been added, some missing links in the story have been filled, and several character relationships have been adjusted so everything feels more natural and coherent going forward.
And yes, after all this time, Goodbye Eternity finally has a proper intro scene instead of starting with a black screen. I’ve wanted to fix that for a very long time, so I’m really happy it’s finally there.
The biggest part of this update is, of course, the rework of Asami’s Love route.
My goal was simple: make it feel warmer, more sincere, and give Asami the story she deserved from the beginning. Her route is now much longer, more complete, and I think it does a much better job of showing who she really is.
There are new interactions, new scenes, new CGs, new skins, and a lot more moments focused on her relationship with Saito. If you liked Asami before, I really hope this version makes you like her even more.
Because the beginning of the game has changed so much, old saves may cause issues. For the best experience, I strongly recommend starting a new game. I know that’s not always ideal, but with this update, it really is the cleanest way to experience everything properly.

I know the wait was long. I know some of you were frustrated, and honestly, I get it. But I didn’t want to release something half-finished just to hit a date. Goodbye Eternity deserves better than that, and so do you.

I absolutely love the story love the characters (Sakuya best girl), the tone it sets, the twists and turns, the humor and the darkness is all so well crafted. Hi! First of all, thank you for your amazing work on Goodbye Eternity. I’ve been following and playing the game. I wanted to ask if it would be possible to also upload the standard Ren’Py Windows build (with the game, renpy, and lib folders) instead of only the single EXE version. I often play on my iPhone using RenPyEmu. The new Windows ZIP only contains one EXE file, so it can’t be imported into the emulator. I also travel to another city quite often and usually don’t take my PC with me, so playing on my iPhone is the only way I can continue enjoying the game while I’m away. If you could provide the standard Ren’Py build alongside the EXE version, I would really appreciate it. Thank you very much!

I really love the swimming pool scene. Is it me though, or are her tan lines not consistent over all sprites? Also, is she now canonically always wearing the 'cute' outfit in the 'love' path? Because I really liked Asamis original 'tomboy' outfit. I know I can override it as a skin, but I would prefer to have a canonical option to ask her to change back. Im also not 100% sold on the Noriko-Asami threesome blowjob being the first sexual encounter now. I would probably have preferred a slower build up to multi-girl content, maybe even an opt-out. Over all though, most of the changes to the start are a definite improvement.
The Asami model has been retouched and her tan lines have been reworked; there may be inconsistencies with older CG images.

This beginning was indeed better, yes. It made that "second chance" thing a lot more solidified. There is this thing with some isekai stories where they quickly get over the "transported from another world" part, and then it is never mentioned again. When a story starts with something like that, it needs to be an underlying tone throughout to the end. Otherwise, it will just look like lazy writing. This was both a nice and necessary improvement.
