What can I do to be a better developer for you guys?
I have absolutely had some lows, and in my honest opinion of myself I feel I have yet to really have a high time for you guys where things are always going well. I can't control my previous life circumstances, but I am in a situation where I have the time to really put in the work for you guys. While I have been grinding for over a week now, I feel like I am not doing enough to be active and the discord is at times completely dead as well.
My number 1 goal is simply to be consistently pumping out good, quality content in a timely manner. I do not feel I have done that at any point. I know I haven't.
What can I do for you guys during the development process, especially the times where I'm script writing and have yet to make any renders so can't really post teasers?
If you are not a supporter, please feel free to comment your honest opinion as to what I can still do simply to be a better developer as viewed from your perspective.
Below is a simple poll with a few options, though I know I could never cover it all, some may be obvious.
Please note, this has nothing to do with the game or it's story and such, but with me as the developer. I simply want to be better for you guys as a person and a dev.

As people have already said, comunication is the most important thing! But some gifts like teasers and renders are always a nice treat while waiting for the full game! ^^
1. Regular communication. As others have pointed out, fans seeing that you're still working on the game is the key to just about everything else. Proof of life posts, activity on Discord, just about anything would do. 2. Content drops. I don't think you need monthly releases to keep fans happy, although that is the standard for "professional" developers. Random renders, like experiments or outakes, teasers, tier gifts, etc... These give patrons something for their support and generates chatter and feedback in the community. Combining #1 and #2 should go a long way to bringing life to the Discord, even if you're not that active yourself (since it can be a distraction). 3. Per release billing. Since (imo) you're not yet at the point where you're able to regularly deliver monthly releases, this takes the pressure off and allows you to work at your own pace. Specifically it should get rid of the griping and negativity around milking Patrons.
As a long time supporter, the communication of knowing you are still alive and have not given up is key. The game is the game and we all appreciate the effort. But your wellbeing is what is important. As long as we know you are moving forward, that is good enough for some. There are always going to be those who bitch, complain, and demand, but with the crazy world in which we all currently live, our lives are far more important than a game.
Thank you, I agree on that front. Need to be better.
Communication is so important. There is nothing worse than not hearing from a developer for months on end. I find that people are generally understanding and supportive so long as you keep them updated.
I've been here for a while now and I'd say just don't go mia for months lol. Keep us informed on what's going on even if you don't have much to say.
Thank you, I knew this would be a big one, and I appreciate you taking the time to be here and tell me that. I'll definitely be a lot more transparent and active all around.
