I've listened to the beginning of the Citizen Vigilante episode a couple times, cuz I keep getting pulled away. Anyway, struck that you guys forgot so many classic movie-to-game spin-offs. My favorite was Friday the 13th on Nintendo.
I think we can all agree, the real crime here is learning Jake plays with inverted controls.
I think I’ve maybe done two perhaps three comments in the years that I’ve been listening to this podcast. This is just silly man you’re talking about things that only you guys can see.
The PS2 game adaptation of the Peter Jackson's King Kong film is fantastic and I will hear no slander against it.

I opened steam right as Jake mentioned delving into right wing slop games to be greeted by an announcement that a game called DOGENSTEIN was being released today for the low special price of 2.99. Assumed it was another throwback to Escape from Castle Wolfenstein, turns out its AI generated slop involving a bulldog wiping out the Woke Police. Or, he could always cover the only halfway-decent mass shooter simulator and play Hatred.
My kid is playing Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated (me being a SpongeBob lover but who had never heard of the game) and my first impression was it was some shit game but after playing through most of it I was actually sort of impressed

The Peter Jackson King Kong game is actually pretty dope. You play both as Adrien Brody’s character and King Kong, so it’s this satisfying blend of helpless survival horror and power fantasy smash-fest. It feels so good to break the head of the same dinosaur you could do nothing but run away from in the previous chapter.

There was an era of dogshit, poorly made, asset flip games on Steam in the early to mid 2010’s. They were widely mocked and disliked by all. This game is no different than any of those, only it’s rated R for racist or whatever the fuck so they have to pretend to like it. It’s incredible.
