Our Life 2: Dance Hall Concept Art Sketches
It's been a while, so here's another piece of old concept art from the game's development! These were the possible concepts for the dance hall background where Qiu learns ballet and Baxter practices his ballroom steps. The version that made it into the game is B, though it got a lot of extra details to make it grander.
It's a fitting time to share this because I just recently wrote the first scenes that take place here. In December you'll get to visit if you play that month's beta update 馃憖

Gorgeous! I always loved ballet, can't wait to have an MC who's a dancer! 馃グ
It's beautiful ! I can't wait to see that in the game and the interactions with the characters !
as someone who does ballet i'm literally so happy that qiu does it too
One of my MCs, Terry "Twinkletoes" Periwinkle, is going to enjoy being able to dance there. Hoping to join the Royal Ballet Academy in England when he turned 11, he was disappointed and, quite frankly, angry at having to move from the country he was born into to go to Golden Grove when Opal accepted the promotion. Maybe Qiu (and possibly Baxter) will encourage Terry to see the bright side of life on this side of the Pond and join the dance classes at the hall. 馃榿馃暫
Looks like a potential wedding venue 馃憖
Oh isn't that the place where in OL1 where you and Cove learn to dance for your wedding?
No, that's in California. OL2 set in Golden Grove, Oregon
It looks like such a stunning place! Love the attention to detail that gets put into these backgrounds!! 馃挋
It looks gorgeous! I wish I could have taken my ballet classes here haha! As someone who grew up doing ballet it's so exciting to see my fav lead participating in it! :)
IM SO PUMPED FOR BALLET QIU
O^O time to sign up for dance classes it seems! I'm mostly looking forward to doing band with Tam (the simp I am), but my nosy ass wants to see the tea with Baxter's crush on Qiu
I can't wait to see it even if realistically I won't do ballroom dancing given I never did it, but I will chose it for curiosity XD
