Our Life: Now & Forever Beta Build 1.3.2 🏪 (PC, Mac, Android)
And here's the actual beta build! We're finally past the prologue and into Step 1 for real. Woo! This beta build shows off the Linked Moments feature by including the opening scenes shared between Walks and Wheels. It also has part one of Walks, but not the entire Moment. The first part (and the second part too) is ridiculously more complicated than the scenes in OL1, so it takes longer to implement them, aha.
For at least a few months it'll probably be half Moment updates per beta release until we've had time to get ahead with the script writing and have finished a lot of the other non-script programming elements that are being worked on.
And you'll see some of the non-script related updates in this beta. The system for choosing gendered terms has been nicely improved and a functional Moment selection screen with temporary assets has been put in place thanks to Shawna. The Moment screen is neat because you'll be able to arrange where the Moments are set! So, if you don't play in the default order you can actually drag and drop the buttons into whatever line up makes sense to you. We're also planning on including decorations to make it even more personalized.
Also, if you're at the highest tier, you can leave your suggestions for additional choice options/MC reactions for these new scenes HERE.
And since we've had some problems in the past with so many people downloading beta builds that they get locked out by Google Drive, I've uploaded mirror builds! If the first ones listed don't work, you can try these.
Or you can bypass the quota by logging in to a Google Drive account, then on the file's download page, click "Add shortcut to Drive" in the upper right corner. Save it to your Drive, then create a new folder, put it inside, and download the folder!
Save files from the prior beta should work in this beta!

My MC has a hairstyle covering one of their eyes and heterochromia - Tamarack commented on the dual color of the eyes. It would be nice and interesting if maybe the MC could chose to reveal that. Overall really good for options. All the problems I found are already above in comments so I’m not going to restate them. Keep up the good work!
I'm done playing beta. i have note - there are errors in graphics when displaying sprite . actually it's something i should show in screenshots
I had an issue where all the backgrounds flashed rapidly from black to normal. I am using a new laptop to play the beta now so not sure if this was a glitch in the game or if my laptop is missing some kind of driver or something.
I’m having an issue where even if I put my gender and sex traits as male Qiu still gets confused when I introduce myself as Mr. 😕
i just finished playing it and IM LITERALLY IN LOVE. istg as someone who lives in a small town like this it literally makes my day every time i open this game its so cute and i cant wait for fall when i am going to cozy up by my fireplace while drinking hot chocolate and playing this beta like 8 times a day. <3
When I pull up the character card maker, my choice of backgrounds for the card is limited to seven options. And rather arbitrary options at that (the background of the diner cg, the forest clearing, three variants of the cul-de-sac, qiu's backyard, and the bg from when you're approaching qiu's backyard).
I just got Tamarack's "We have to fight" line and I'm *howling.* She might be my favorite character in any of y'all's vns so far!

I liked the little scene where Baxter mentions MC's moles. I didn't expect it and my MC was surprised too lol. And poor Tama getting pouty if MC chooses to ride with Qiu.
When first meeting Qiu I introduce myself as Miss MC using female pronouns and such and it triggers his non-binary response." My MC is intersex but I don't think Qiu would know that yet.

That was so good, thank you for the update, I had to redownload it times cause it kept saying it couldn't find start. and some lines were missing but after the 4th download, I had no problem, everyone seems so understanding when our mc is silent, I'm thankful for that.

Finished the beta and there seemed to be a bug at the end. The Thank You screen appeared, but then some lines of text from the beginning of the moment (iirc) showed up while Qiu and Tammarck's sprites overlapped each other. It's a small enough visual bug, just thought you'd like to know!

Thank you for the update, it was great! Always a pleasure to see Darren and Baxter too! I had a small little issue though: When Qiu comes back again after calling the other two and asks "Everybody ready?" - following Tamarack's answer, my MC first answers "simply with a nod" (which is in tune with how he acts usually), but then when I click once more I get an energetic and vocal answer saying "I'm ready too!". I'm sure that second one is a bug or coding error, since not only the game specified it was only a nod, but also it's a bit OOC for my character compared to all my previous choices. Not a game breaking issue of course, but still noticaeable.

This beta is so good, I played through it as soon as I could! One small consistency issue to note. If MC talks to Tamarack first, only gives her their first name, and then refuses to give Qiu their name at all, Tamarack will tell him MC's full name despite never being told it.

For claritys sake, during the moment selection screen are all the objects around just for decoration or do they hold a purpose?
It's just for decoration. The Moment screen is only for picking the order you do moments in. There's nothing else to it!

I don’t know if this is a glitch but Qiu keeps getting confused when I say my name with the honorific. I put “Ms.” and Qiu acts confused. I tried using the other honorifics like “mr.” and “miss” to see if Qiu would say the same thing, and they do. Qiu keeps seeming confused and says the same thing.

As someone who has my own set order I like to play the moments in OL1, the drag and drop feature in OL2 is super exciting!!
There seems to be a problem with the new gender system, Qiu acts confused about binary honorifics such as mr or miss

since in OL1 you could be lactose intolerant, it'd be interesting if you added allergies in OL2 for the people that have allergies.
I loved every second of this beta build! Atmosphere, music, graphics, details, characters. It's wonderful to see how much effort has been put into this and clearly you lovely people love making this game 💜💜💜

I think I found a glitch, my mc is afab and uses 'miss' but Qiu says 'How did the docters come up with that?' is this intentional?
