Month Beginning Post: October 2022
[Guest art of Baxter by @Whilo_art on Twitter]
So, we're at the start of a new month post the launch of Derek's story. After all this time, there's only one DLC expansion left for the original Our Life. Throw some appropriately colored black and white confetti in the air 'cause Baxter is coming Back-ster, haha.
The full wrap-up for September was posted HERE! Now here's what's coming next-
Monthly Content Plans:
Baxter's story is working with nothing more than a bunch of ideas currently. I'll be officially beginning the outline now.
It's very unlikely that a Baxter DLC beta will be released this month. I've gotta get a good start on making event drafts and there probably won't be time to write any of that into a script. And even if there is a bit of writing done, it's even less likely it could be programmed before the end of October.
However, that doesn't mean we won't be seeing the Bax man. I've got enough content already written to put together a new OL2 prologue beta update. That will be coming out soon! And in those scenes, you'll finally get to meet some of the other kids around town 👀
And something else I'm hoping to do this month is open up new writing positions here at GB Patch Games! I'd like to get some additional help with the Baxter DLC in terms of taking my outlines and properly writing it into a script. His story is not gonna come out in 2022 at this point no matter what, but fingers crossed we can finish it sooner than Derek's DLC took.

Well, that's where things are. It's always a little rocky getting starting on a brand new expansion, but we'll keep doing our best! Thank you for following along with our development 😊

WOO NEW OL2 BETA
I would *love* to apply to help write! I hope you let us all know when those positions open 🥰
Congrats on the launch of the Derek DLC! I played through it and it is WONDERFUL. You guys put so much love into this series and you can feel it through the words and art. It's my comfort game and I have over 100hrs in it.
Awesome! Congrats on the finished Derek DLC! I can't wait to play it. I'm also excited to see what you have in store for OL2. It's gonna be so exciting!
I don't know if I have enough experience as a writer, but I'm going to try to apply anyway. I'd love to have a job I could actually be passionate about. Congrats on releasing the Derek dlc, btw. I'm excited to get started on that.
Yessss! I'm so excited for more OL2! ♡♡♡
I'm so excited to play a little more of OL2 while it's autumn here in my country 🍁🧡
I'm so excited for the OL2 beta update! Thank you for working so hard! Love the artwork ;-; . Make sure to take breaks when you can! Thank you again to the whole team ♡
Looking forward to the stories to come
Are you looking for more writers, perhaps? I'm a writer myself and I'd love to help if you need it!! I always wanted to write professionally but never knew where to start haha
We will be hiring writers relatively soon!
I'm hoping our MCs, Qiu and Tamarack would get the chance to go Trick or Treating with Baxter. 🎃
I’m so excited!!!😭😭💖💖 BAXTER MY BELOVED
it sounds like Baxter will be a small challenge to do, I believe in you all!! Thank you for the hard work as always and Im looking forward to seeing it all come to life ^^
Ooooooh! Excited!
It's so great to see things coming together like this! Coves wedding is finished, Dereks finally here, Baxter is next and finally OL2 Is gonna be worked on! So satisfying! I hope you all have fun with baxters expansion! I'm definitely buying both Derek's and baxters DLC's ( even though I'll probably only play Baxters. Sorry Derek!) And I'm looking forward to the upcoming OL2 Update because I simply can't get enough of the characters and extra customization options(including the pronouns system. I love the option to have multiple pronouns and have them be interchangeable!). Thank you guys so much for the games you make!
Good luck this month! congratulations on the new release!! :)
