Our Life: Now & Forever Prologue Beta Build 0.04! ✏️ (PC, Mac, Android)
Thank you so much for the patience on this! We've finally made enough progress with OL2 in between our Derek DLC work to put out an improved and expanded beta build. It's always fun when we get a chance chip away at the prologue. Things are really coming together 💕
New Content:
Brand new scenes that total about 11,000 words of additional content
More MC doll options
Opal's two additional skin tones being fully implemented
Updates to the MC creation screen itself. Neck layers were divided into two parts, over and under layers, and you can save customized color tints for future use
The option to change your clothes and accessories for school
A music room. It can be accessed from the Extras button on the main menu
I hope you'll enjoy the extra touches and getting to see a bit of the world outside the neighborhood!

Just out of curiosity (I'm new here) but is there a regular timeline for when the beta builds get updated/sent out or is it just whenever enough progress has been made?
It's once per month for the Derek DLC and whenever I'm able to make progress on OL2 in between the Derek stuff, haha.
Everything is so CUTE!!! Qui and Tamarack are so vibrant and I'm already looking forward to seeing how I get to interact with them in the. Amazing!
Also, I can report a graphical bug I found - if you choose to go back home with ONLY either Tamarack or Qiu, their mini-icons during some of the dialogue are missing their outer layers of clothing. I can confirm it happens in both VN-style and comic-style layouts, and whether you met Qiu first or Tamarack.
I've been replaying this extended demo with different MCs that have vastly different personalities, and it's incredible how different the experience can be. I think the dynamic relationship system is my favorite thing about the game.
Okay so I finally got around to playing any I nearly died of laughter when I got to when Mrs Murray and Qiu were interacting and the MC says that he sounds like our mom when one of her friends asked to set her up on a blind date. That has to be the best line here

Another new and interesting dynamic that wasnt in OL1, watching your friends interact with other people and going to school with them. I've already noticed my green eyed monster's eyes starting to move around under his feigned sleepfulness and then I found myself wondering if I might also have to go dig out my knightly white armor as well... lots of potential and possibilities interacting in a school setting, alot of them not so nice or pleasant.
I Loved playing this!!! I think Qiu and tamarack are one of my favorite Love interests. Cove is still number 1 though. (for now lol) <3
I really can't emphasize enough of how much I LOVE the music in this game... it's so warm and sweet. Idk how to describe it, it just makes my heart feel so calm.
I managed to get through the update and WOW did we get a lot of character dynamics! I love how things are set up and how different things are! This makes me of what Cove had to go though in OL1, but its more intense because we didn't have time to set up roots or have time to interact and make friends before school started. We are just thrown into a new place before we could even set up our bed. Must be a little scary ngl, but I think its adorable that Tamarack is so happy to be with us and the interactions between Qiu had me laughing so hard! I can't wait to see more!
This was such a fantastic update! 🥺 Everything and everyone is so cute! Tamarack is so EXPRESSIVE, I don't know what made me think she was less so. And the music continues to blow me away! This game is going to be so special.
It's hilariously adorable that everyone wants to sit next to Qiu and Tamarack being so shy is cute as well :)

I absolutely love the extra details in dressing up our character and how it changes in our little sprite! Our first day of school is great so far too! I love Mrs. Murray for trying to make us comfortable and the little moment with her being done of the kids wanting to sit with Qiu made me laugh. The little moments where we started thinking about how Tamarack and the MC were the odd ones out in this new little world we've moved in felt very real and I felt more engrossed with the story. I can't wait to see what comes next with the trio we've made! Thank you for the update! :D

Hi hi! I found a tiny little bug! The first time the MC and Opal walk into the house, Opal's scarf is gone in her doll, but the next time she talks the scarf is back on. (sorry if it's vague i forgot to save the screenshot of what line she says during it :( )
