Knowing what Opal (Mom, Mommy, Ma, Mama, etc. 馃槂) does, makes it easier to figure out why the MC and his/her/their mother had moved around so much (such as being a trouble-shooter who would go from town to town to cover for mistakes the company made in those areas to helping to set up shop/help with hiring or helping to close out operations and help with lay-offs/firing).
