Our Life: Beta Build 0.87! (PC, Mac, Android)
We've finally got the next beta! This is a big one, there's 4 out of 5 DLC Moments included. It's almost complete. That's so exciting. Thank you all for the patience.
Your main game saves will still be fine in the main game but they won't work in the beta! Please start a new file to try the beta content. We recommend keeping any beta saves you make on a separate page from save files made with the main game to avoid mixing them up.
Also, saves from older beta versions may not work either. You might have to start a brand new file, but there is an option to skip right to step 3 after beginning a new game.
New Content:
The Moment "Late Shift" was added
The Moment "Happiness" was added
The Moment "Serendipity" was expanded some
Voice lines were added to all the DLC scenes
A new option to skip to Step 2 or 3 now appears after you start a new file
New options were added to page 4 of the character creation screen in Step 3
There's been general error fixes
What's Missing:
The new Moments are impacted by certain prior Moments, but we haven't implemented all the alterations to old scenes that will change if you've done them first. So if you play the beta content and then go play already released Moments, there could be things that don't make sense with the new info your player got

can you get the beta to work with the steam version? and if so how?
The beta is different from the main build of the game, Steam or Itch. You have to download this new file, extract it, and start a new save as if it was a brand new game in order to play it. You can't use Steam saves or have achievements unlock while playing the beta, I'm afraid.

This looks like fun! By the way, will the AO Moment, I guess, be released sometime after the completion of this Step?

I think I've lost track of how many times I've replayed this beta haha seriously it is just amazing and the comparison of having gone through all the steps vs just skipping to Step 3 actually makes a big difference in my opinion at least and it is worth starting from the beginning just for those changes in dialogue etc. The Happiness Moment was probably my favorite and warmed my heart so much I didn't think Cove could be more precious than he already is. Serendipity is my second favorite cause OH MY GOD the characters that reappeared blew my mind! Keep up the amazing work can't wait for Boating!
I just got to play Happiness and Late Shift and it was the cutest and most heartwarming thing ever! I love them so much and the whole game, I can't wait to play it all when it fully comes out! Thank you for making such an amazing game that makes me laugh and smile and feel better when I'm having a bad day.
I finally took the time to play all of the dlc parts. I waited until there was a substantial amount before I decided to play again. the wait was *so* worth it. :D The reaction from Cove when you can call him a "big dumb baby" was just so dang cute. lol 😂
I'm sure this has been asked a million times, but I haven't been able to find it. When is the stage 3 dlc expected to drop and also when is step 4 set to come out? Definitely no pressure, take your time on this lovely game just wondering so I can completely clear my schedule and stock up on tissues ❤
Step 3 DLC is coming out next month, Step 4 is coming out this summer!
Oh my god the Happiness moment was sooo hilarious. I dont usually laugh out loud, but I actually did three or four times. I loved Cove's face in the car when MC says the comment about liking less layers. I laughed out loud! What a perfect reaction. I hope it doesn't change. And the awkwardness of Cove is so hilariously adorable. 🤣 You guys are doing such a great job. I can honestly say it's my favorite game on steam, and I dont usually play otome games.
unggh repalying the "Happiness" moment for the fifth time and can't help but think it was a missed opportunity for a borrowed hoodie-moment in the ice rink. The MC (if bringing layers) could borrow it to a flustered Cove and mabye even gift it to him and they could remember the sun shower incident and ugh :'( i might have to write the fanfic
ps: this is just me ranting, i loved each and every part of it just as it is <3

Loved the update! I ran into a bug when saying bye to shiloh after talking to him on the phone at the end of step 3. Also is it possible to propose at the end or is that not implemented yet?
That's not added. It's only meant to be the new Moments, but thanks for the report about the Shiloh scene. That wasn't a tested scene that was meant to be accessed.
I truly didn't think this game could get any better, but the GB Patch team proved me wrong yet again. The "Late Shift" moment was perfection- these writers have the incredible ability to take normally "mundane" moments, like going to the grocery store or working a late shift at a part time job, to deepen relationships and enhance the story. I loved seeing Baxter (who I absolutely adore) bonding with MC in a totally casual yet meaningful way, and I just live for MC and Cove be adorably domestic. Of course, the "Happiness" moment blew me away- I played it about a dozen times, going through every scenario and they all made me cry! Wonderful update!

Oh gosh I absolutely loved the new moments, especially the happiness one — it was utterly adorable. Also, I wasn’t expecting Cove to act in the moment of intimacy between him and the MC, not that I’m complaining lol. Seeing the effort he puts in the relationship makes my heart warm, if only this boy was real. You guys are doing a great job! I’m really happy to have the opportunity to keep up with the VN, thank you so much <33
I really loved the Happiness Moment and how sweet it was. I was surprised to see that Cove not only kisses your character with tongue but flipped the MC over so he was on top. Now all we need it the 18+ bonus moment.
I have been disconnecting myself from my emotions to survive solitude during The Pandemonium and some of these new moments have me openly sobbing. Thank you, i really needed that.
I don't know if it's just my phone, me being a dummy or an already known issue. When I try installing the android demo it gets treated like an update and merged with the non-demo build. If I want to play the 1.2 version, I have to reinstall the files (my pc is sadly out of commission for the time being. I just want to know if this is the way it should work or not.
I don't know why that's happening, unfortunately. Maybe we did something wrong with the file name and if you change the name that won't happen anymore.
I loved it and I knew I would ^^ I love it the whole way through and miss it when I’m finished. Definitely going through the new content a few more times before the next update lol

Hi there a bug with the late shift moment the wont open like "ScriptError: could not find label 'beta'"
Did you use a brand new save or load a file? Seems like it is looking for old info, so you may have to restart unfortunately. But there is a new skip right to step 3 feature if you do start a new file, so it's pretty quick to get back to where you were.
I know what I'm doing for the remainder of my weekend!
