Our Life: Logo Design Sketches
Happy holidays! To have a little fun, we're sharing the old design process we went through for Our Life's logo.
We ended up getting the logo early in the game's production life, way back in the summer of 2017. So in the end, it kind of has a bit of a different style than the rest of the game's UI. None of the ideas even included the famous white poppy because that identifying feature hadn't been imagined yet.
At one point we considered having the logo redone after the Kickstarter, but players were pretty attached to it by then so it stayed, haha. I definitely like the logo and think it looks great, but I do think we'll take what we learned from what happened with this logo and apply to Our Life 2's logo design process.

this is random thoughts but when the first time i saw Our Life logo on steam I read it as Mur Life馃檪 i thought it was about mermaid meet a boy and then money happened or so. boi am i so wrong
Well, you weren't completely wrong though XD Sure, the way you two met (and his appearance) are different from what you thought however Cove and MC thought the same identical thing in Step 3 (With Cove starting a conversation about how he's sad because Merpeople aren't real and then change the topic into "what if I was/you were a merman?" so it's not completely wrong XD

all of them super pretty, but I really like E
I love them, but I am leaning towards A or F
I really like B, but A also looks really good. AGghhh I've always been bad with choices-
I like the simplicity of A but like F too but only with the umbrella. I would prefer to remove the beach chair and bring the words beginning and always more to the center
I like B since it鈥檚 simple and sweet (like a certain boy we know), and D since my MC has a liking for shells (but maybe use A鈥檚 word font for it)
I really like B. It feels elegant, yet simple and not too overcrowded.
I really like the one with the shells, but only because my Jaime had a shell collection and gifted Cove that orange shell as a graduation present.
I love them all, but E is my fave.
Everything about Our Life is perfect. You are creative geniuses :)
