Our Life: Beta Build 0.5!
It's here! The Our Life beta build for May is ready to go, and it's a good one. We've really kicked things up when it comes to how much progress is made between betas.
Android Download (The main menu of this build says "demo", but I just forgot to change the image, haha. It's got all the beta events)
And while we're here, we'd also like to announce that we're going to have a special "live voice chat with the game dev" session in the private Discord. It'll happen on May 17th. If you'd be interested in talking with me about the current beta, what's coming next, or something else feel free to join us in the Discord for that.
It'll be possible to listen in and communicate through text, for those who can't/prefer not to use voice chat.
New Content:
31,000 more words were added in total
The Moment "Wave" is complete and not just the initial snippet
Part 1 of the exceptionally long Moment "Soiree" was added
The full Moment "Road Trip" is available to play
The appearance part of the Cove Creator is now usable! You can design your own ideal look for Step 2 Cove instead of using the choice-generated one
Important tweaks were made the point system to make it easier to get warm and sporty Coves
New choice menus/options were added to some older events, as well as some small extra alterations
There are a couple more CGs to see in the new events
A new background was added to the Moments that take place in the library
Derek has a few more expression layers
Some more hairstyle options were added to the character creation screen
Ma now has a proper sleepwear outfit, which appears in older events and new ones
Errors from the prior build were fixed
Known Errors:
One of the new CGs is just a sketch currently
Saves from the old beta or the public demo will have errors if used with the new version. Please start a brand new file!
New events don't have voice acting yet
Step 2 just uses a normal menu to select Moments because the fancy screen hasn't been finished yet

So this was my first go with the beta since the very first public demo came out, and I am sooo dang excited for the full release! I was really pleasantly surprised by how genuinely nostalgic it felt when the MC and Cove reminisce about their Step 1 days, so if setting up the demos like that was deliberate on your part, I'd say you nailed it!
Aw, thank you! I'm so happy to hear that. We did work on the events in sort of an order. I'm glad it ended up coming together well.

Wonderful work as always! I haven't finished playing through yet, but I just wanted to point out that in the Library moment where you take the quiz with the solar eclipse question, after the choice it says "the moon being blocked by the sun" and I think it's supposed to be the other way around.

Such a great update!! the giggles were endless, and Cove was endlessly adorable, but I kinda feel bad for Mr. Holden.... he's in some deep deep doodoo.

Loved this! Cove is such and angel and the families are too cute! Loving being able to customize Cove too, makes it really fun to see all the different reactions! Every time I play these demos I cant help but love the art, the story, the characters and how the choices actually feel like choices and that they get different reactions! Loving the moving characters too, I nearly died when I saw Cove blinking so cutely! Thanks again soooo much for the awesomeness that is this game and giving us this adorable Angel Cove!! \(^_^)/

OMG, I loved this update to bits. The ending to Road Trip was so cute I felt so bad for Cove when my MC tried to make a move on Cove and how he reacted. I just couldn't help myself. My MC is bold. <3
