To be totally honest, and I know it may sound weird, but I feel more secure that there's a railing there. The higher the ledge, the more I'm afraid to be near that ledge without something that would stop me from falling off the ledge.
I don't think that's stupid. No railings or short railings, shorter than my chest, freak me out. Balconies freak me out, my old school had two floors, the second floor had an opening in the middle with a really low railing, stairs without something I can hold onto freak me out. If there was no railing there it would freak me out (and I assume it's not a hill either unlike OLBA, it's probably a cliff or something similar if there's a railing) If the railing isn't as tall as my chest I'll seriously consider crying from anxiety XD
