Hi GB! I saw in a previous Q&A that you didn't have a set height in mind for the OL2 LI's. Was just wondering if you thought of how tall they are? Though I understand if you can't say anything about step 3! (I might have missed it in a previous Q&A). My other question (feel free to skip) is how seriously does Opal take the MC if they say they are going to date or even marry either Tammy or Qiu in step 2? If she takes it seriously, would she be like the Baumann's in that she would think the MC is too young to date?

I haven't been here in forever (like literally since September of last year), so I'm so excited to be back here again! Anyways, I have three questions to ask and to be honest one of them is very self-indulgent. I hope you don't mind lol. 1. So, while playing XOD I noticed something. Pran is explicitly stated to be very conventionally attractive by a lot of people LMAO. If I remember correctly, Bae says that Pran's looks are the only thing he has to offer (which is so mean but what else do I expect from him lol), Missy calls him hot once, Everett says that Pran is the best looking guy at SSB (because of course he did), and in a lot of (really) old questions on the GB Patch Tumblr bring up his looks. This is going to sound really silly, but like... was Pran always intended to be like, the "hot one?" Like was he always intended to be THAT conventionally attractive because it's so interesting to me how often his looks are brought up lol. (This question was very long sorry sjdfmsdjfdsm) 2. Another XOD question because I can't help myself! How would the dynamic of the Jerk Squad change if there was another girl there who was just a straight up mean girl lol. Like Regina George, queen bee, Blair Waldorf (I don't know if you've ever watched Gossip Girl but yeah bjsdmfsdjm) type. You know, a very manipulative, revenge-driven, ambitious, power hungry, bitchy, ego the size of the Sun type of girl lol. How would the guys (and JB because I love her) feel about a girl like that? Your answer doesn't have to be super detailed! 3. Finally, an actual OL question dsjfmdsjfd. If I remember correctly, Derek can continue his professional sports career with MC's encouragement (and, on top of that, I think he was actually in a professional team or some sort in college... correct me if I'm wrong lol). With that said, and since he can either do American football or soccer, do you think he could ever make it to the Super Bowl or the World Cup? Would he be a popular athlete if he does continue his professional career? Anyways, I hope you and the rest of the team have a good rest of the month (also hi David sdjfmdjsfs thank you for the transcripts, by the way)! - I know you have boundaries regarding too much detail about Baxter’s parents or their unpleasantness, so no need to go into detail or just skip if needed, but was his cut from them a more slow process or was it more a sudden, heated exchange? - In a purely affectionate, non-sexual way, how do all the LI’s feel about bathing together with the MC if they’re dating? - How would the ol1 boys feel about an mc who shows affection by being playfully mean? like calling them dumb or stinky or pretend hitting them or bossing them around? (never in ways that could be actually hurtful ofc!)

Did you think Baxter would be as beloved as he is when you created him? (I say this as someone who ADORES Baxter)

As a trans girl, I’m a huge fan of Renee, and I absolutely love all of the details that get added in to make playing a trans MC feel more immersive! With that out of the way, I have a super self indulgent question I’d like to ask! While I’m aware of the fact that Vianca and Renee have a purely platonic relationship (at least based on the info we already have on step 3, and for a variety of reasons I certainly don’t see that changing in step 4) but I love the idea of them as a romantic pairing! I was wondering if you thought either of them had any sort of crush on the other throughout the time they’ve known each other? Regardless of the answer I’m still super excited to see more of them as more of the game releases! I’ve already absolutely adored the scenes we’ve gotten of them so far and can’t wait for more!

I’m constantly blown away by the quality, it brings back the feeling I used to have when playing old harvest moon/story of seasons as a child, but with greater depth. My questions are: 1) How attached to the characters do you get when developing/writing them? 2) Which character(s) have you gotten the most attached to (if any)? 3) How do you navigate having so many people enjoy your work so intensely (is it ever stressful/intimidating/a lot of pressure)? Hello. The Q&As are the best part of the month for me as I listen to the audio recordings during the boring parts at work so thank you. This is my first time asking questions for these so I hope I'm following the guidelines. 1.) Was Tamarack home-schooled before moving to Golden Grove? 2.) In Step 2, if the MC expression element is admiring for both Tamarack and Qiu, do they feel uncomfortable or confident that someone they're friends/crushes with feel that way about them? 3.) I replayed Baxter's Step 4epilogue recently and I wanted to ask what was Terry going to say after he stated the six of them were a good set? He said that him and Randy were dating, Jude and Scott is engaged, and then he stops himself when talking about the MC and Baxter. I'm assuming it depends if the MC dated/was friends with Baxter in Step 3.

From what I've seen through my playthroughs I've gotten things like "Talkative, very quiet, rule follower, rule breaker, rowdy and casual." I was wondering what other traits there are? I usually can't think of questions for these, but this time around I was wondering how the OL2 LI's would handle having an MC partner (platonic or romantic) who wanted to move abroad for work/school. Also, if the OL2 MC had a late-year, winter birthday and was still 9 at the start of Step 1, would that have changed the trio's dynamic in any way because Qiu and Tamarack make a big deal about them all being 10.

How does Qiu-liet work as a pun verbally? Can you just say it so I can hear? Please and thank you. 3. In Fancy Fun, how would Tamarack react to a MC just having milk or water, but then deciding to put sugar or honey in said milk or water? 4. Does Step 3 Qiu ever forget to change their nail polish?

Heya, I have four pretty much random questions. 1. Sorry, first question is kinda long, but something I've been struggling to figure out: Would Darren/Ren actually be willing to hang out with an MC on their own during Step 1? From what I've gathered of Step 1, Darren and Baxter don't really wanna be around the MC unless Qiu is there. Even then, not really. Would them meeting the MC first, as I believe you have mentioned would have happened in their DLC, have changed their thoughts about the MC? I'm mainly trying to figure out how to keep them in character while interacting with any MC during that time period. 2. How would the Lins or the elder Baumanns react to an MC suddenly speaking fluent Chinese or German, respectively, to them? 3. This question was inspired by RPGs like Fallout 4's companion system, but how would Step 1/2 Qiu and Tam react to an MC who's still their friend, but is becoming a genuinely worse person? Not at a full-on Heel turn, but more of the two watching someone they still like slowly become a jerk and mean to those around them. 4. How were Qiu and Tamarack's themes created (main instruments, were they based off their personalties, etc), and what would the other characters (Ren, Viacna, Serenrity, etc) vaguely sound like if they had themes?

Does Qiu have a Chinese name, and if so, how's it written? 林秋 or is it still 秋林? 2. How would Qiu react to MC using the name of a different season as a nickname? (English or Chinese. I was thinking of having one of my MCs call them 春 as a nickname.) 3/4. Has/will Qiu ever met their grandparents? Do they live abroad/back in China, or do they live in the US?

If MC only has one nearsighted eye and it doesn't really affect daily life, so MC doesn't think it's worth worrying Mom over—and only tells her much later.How would Mom feel about that when she finds out ? hi!! i’ve visited oregon several times in the past year and am currently planning another trip and it’s got me wondering what elements of oregon would the two leads of OLNF enjoy! would either of them enjoy the coastline? ziplining? and also i’ve been wondering if there’s been any speculation about the two leads’ birthdays, i know in OLBA it was determined by their releases but since birthdays correlate a bit more to whether or not you’re in the same grade level it got me wondering if it’s for sure confirmed neither of their birthdays will be in the fall/winter? thank you!!

Hi GB! I absolutely love your work! your games have become one of my greatest sources of comfort. I wanted to ask: if another character were to confess their feelings to the MC, would Qiu and/or Tamarack show any signs of jealousy? How do you think they would react in that situation?

So I no longer require an answer from GB, but I'll leave this up for anyone else who was wondering ❤️❤️) Normally I'd ask this sort of question to the community, but since it's beta exclusive I realize I can't really so I thought I'd try here! I can't recall if I made this up but I can't seem to re-create it either so maybe it was a fan thing I saw somewhere - but there was a point in the gazebo with Autumn in step 2 (maybe in Assistance?), and I seem to remember a line where the MC and Autumn are staring at eachother and for a moment the MC internally wonders if Autumn is going to kiss them? The scene moves on after and no kiss happens though. I swear I remember this but I cannot get it to happen again! Am I crazy?? 😖 If it's real, please give me a pointer on how to get the line again! As much as I would love to learn more about our Our Life lovelies 💕, this question is in regards to the release of the N&F Step 2 moments for the beta (no spoilers, ofc) With the current amount of Step 2 moments released for the beta (which is 4), the new full moment coming this month would make that 5 and two months after that (August & September) we’ll have 9 (“2 moments per month”, as was told within July’s “Plans” announcement). Would Octobers moment release then be just the last Step 2 moment to make an even 10, or would it include that AND the Step 2 Epilogue? (Or at least part of it, the rest being finished and polished for November’s early access release) Sorry for the long question, but this has been bugging me ever since the July Plans announcement and i’m impatient TvT💔 Thanks for all your hard work and I can’t WAIT for the game’s full release! ^^🫶💕

hello i hope everything is fine in your life, i only has one question but i cant get it out of my mind. Is giving the MC siblings an idea you considered but never followed through on, or was it always planned for them to be an only child?

I’ve noticed that when Qiu loses a colored pencil, the color of said pencil changes. Is there a possibility for it to be every color, or is it just a set amount? I keep playing through it to see, and I’ve gotten like five colors now. Yellow, brown, green, red, and white. I’ve also noticed that Tamaracks candy changes during the Halloween moment. Is there also a set amount of options? (I’m really bad at describing this, sorry!)
