OL2: Beta Build 1.5.7 💀 (PC, Mac, Android)
Happy Halloween! Again, haha. The third full Step 2 Moment, Scares & Sweets, is now playable. You can spend the night running around town alone, with Tamarack, with Qiu, or just stay home and not do much.
Disclaimer:
No Information in the beta can be shared publicly.
Screenshots can't be posted, videos can't be uploaded, even discussing what occurs in the events publicly is not allowed and will get your access to future builds revoked.
You can do all of those things within the private GB Patch Discord server or leave your feedback as a comment.
Download Links:
Android Download (If Google Drive doesn't work, use the Dropbox Mirror)
And since we've had some problems in the past with so many people downloading beta builds that they get locked out by Google Drive, I've uploaded mirror builds! If the first ones listed don't work, you can try these.
Android Download Mirror (Dropbox)
Or you can bypass the quota by logging in to a Google Drive account, then on the file's download page, click "Add shortcut to Drive" in the upper right corner. Save it to your Drive, then create a new folder, put it inside, and download the folder!
Save files from the prior beta should work in this beta!
New Content:
Step 2 Scares & Sweets Part 2
Added backgrounds that were missing in prior build
Fixes to typos/errors from the prior build

This script section has something pretty interesting happen. I'm curious to see how players are gonna react 😄. I had to resist spoiling it in a normal Patreon preview post. Thanks for giving the beta a try!

oh em gee ren is SO CUTE!! im genui obsessed like whaaaatt
Is the Murray’s living room supposed to have the background of when you have a sleepover at granny’s house in step 1?
i literally cannot get pj day. ive actually reinstalled this like 30 times and i still cant get it. im so confused
Same here :/ are you also a mac user? as I'm wondering if changing over to the not as comfy pc will work.
Im trying to figure out how to download the file to a thumb drive since too much space is taken on my actual computer but am unsure if that is possible with the drive download. Are there any ways to do this that I might just be missing?
i was so confused on who the “him” was- OH MY GOD, ITS HIM. DAMN HE IS PRETTY AF. also qiu ascending into the heavens after tamarack appeared had me giggling
AHH this was sooo cute !! thank you smmm for the renny content i love her soso much <3 😭 seeing [REDACTED] was also such a nice surprise !! loved this moment
FINALLY I can play again!! I had to send my laptop in for repairs before the last demo came out and it took so long we got a new one LMAO
I noticed (don't know if someone else said that already) that after the Rock-Paper-Scissor scene Tamarack is covering Qiu although she's not talking.
How do you get the rock-paper-scissor scene?
So excited! Did we already get the second half of pj and I totally missed it or is that still in development?
Yes, that's also finished in this build!
Is Qiu meant to fly a little when you spot Tamarack across the road?
No, it's just an error!
i #needthat omg like heyyy "..him"
The app won't finish updating on Android. Normally, Dropbox works. However, both Dropbox and Google Drive aren't working. Is anyone else experiencing issues?
I'm sorry, are you still have issues with the google drive and the dropbox version of the Android download now? It might have settled down now.
oh unfortunately me and my MC both are obsessed with a certain someone we get to meet in this moment, i need to know everything about him immediately
NO SPOILERS BUT???!!!! oh mmmyyy what the helll I WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT AT ALL!! so happy i got to meet *him*. i love this moment, im glad to see qiu kept their love for scaring people <3 it was bittersweet to see no tammy claus around after my mc and she had decided to stay young and halloween spirited forever!! ill catch her on christmas. <33 thank u gb!
If anyone is having troubles on the mobile download, I was having troubles too and the Dropbox one actually works. I don't know if now it stopped having troubles but just in case try that, it should work.
Unfortunately, the app won't finish updating on Android. Is anyone else having that issue?
I'm sorry, it can sometimes be stalled by a lot of people trying to download it. Are you still have issues with the google drive and the dropbox version of the Android download now?
Oooooo homework can waitttttt.
As I said I'll support this game as long as I can, now and forever ^^
And like that, I become evil for a night.
I mistook (Spoiler) as Ren somehow and was like "Woah Ren looks prettier here- WAIT-"
loveeee all the ren moments!!! i love her so so much<33 and also??? i didn't expect *HIM* to show up here😳??? the way i screamed out loud??? bro he's so fine my godddd he's joining the long long list of my mc's crush list😭
I can't thank you enough for not spoiling who's "him" even if I already have an idea about who is it, I can't play the new moment yet so at least I didn't got spoiled XD But now I'll avoid comments until I played it, hoping whatever is going on with the mobile version giving me a error was because too many people were downloading it XD
Or just stay home and do fuckin NOTHIIIIIIN
WOO i love openin my phone after therapy to this
this made my whole day better!!
I know this moment can work either way but I'm not gonna lie having played through both routes in the previous patch this feels very much like a Qiu centred part of the story whether you're planning on romancing them or not
I'm pretty sure that's just kinda how the game will be in general, some moments are more memorable with one of the leads or focus more on one particular LI, kinda like how in Step 1 Fancy Fun feels more memorable and Tam focused than Qiu focused.
we arisee!!
yess!!
Yeeesssss I've been waiting🔥🔥
Wait so does this mean more has been added or that people without the patreon version can play the scares and sweets moment?
It means that people with the beta access can now play more content! People without the Patreon beta haven't gotten any updates.
This is nice
Yippee!!!!
There seems to be an error with the android version it wouldn't open up right
I'm getting the same error but I don't know if it's because too many people are installing it. I'll try the other link for now.
omg this is exciting!
So does the moment just end when we choose qiu like in the previous version? Or is there more with them?
Qiu in Step 2 uses They/Them, as for the actual step, it should be complete because GB said that steps are divided in 2 parts and rarely 3 (but if so she will say so) and because in this update she said "The third full Step 2 moment is now playable", so I assume it's complete.
THANK HECK! I needed this so badly 😭😭😭
And so continuing to live continues to be worth it as I get new OLNF 🙏
OH MY GOD THE FULL STEP??? WERE EATING GOOD TONIGHT
NEVER BEEN SO HAPPY! (I love Halloween so much, I literally dropped the live I was watching immediately XD)
IM SO HYPED
YAYY playing this straight away :))
WOOOOO
YAYYYY
LETS GOOO
