Hello and thank you for your hard work! This is my first Q&A, so apologies if I repeated previously asked Qs T.T 1. I'm not sure if I'm remembering the scene correctly, but in Baxter's DLC, there was an option to ask about his first crush and he mentions how they were in the same dance studio, but the person he liked was in ballet. Am I just dense and that actually was Qiu, or was it some off-screen character just for the sake of referencing OL2? 2. How would Liz be as an aunt? I know she would fight for the "best aunt" title but would she still parent the mc's kid, tease them a lot, or train them to be as annoying as possible to the mc HAHAH 3. How would the LIs of OL1 (step 4) react to an indecisive partner? I'm really curious since I myself am pretty indecisive, so I wanna know who'd find it funny, endearing, or inconvenient lol 4. What's your process when looking for and screening artists for your games? I'm currently a college student, but I would love to get into creating art for various games and indie projects.

Hi, I would like it if my questions aren't public. 1. In step 1, you can put a music sheet in your bedroom. Does it ever become relevant in step 1? I thought putting it there would mean you get to show your interest in music but I've never seen it get referenced in step 1. 2. If Qiu said you're pretty in step 1, do they still think you're pretty in the rest of the steps? 3. How would Qiu feel about mc worrying about them? Like in step 2, they're going through a rough patch and in my playthroughs, I tend to look out for them. 4. How would Tamarack and Qiu react if they found out you're neurodivergent?

1. How would Ren generally show affection/take care of an MC, or really any person in this case, they have feelings for? Like, sorta how the LI's across both games go out of their way for the MC if they're close to them. 2. What was going through Derek's mind if you kissed him at the end of Step 2? I remember that even if you openly admit that you like him romancially, he'll still choose to hold off. 3. Outside, possibly the MC, who exactly is Qiu close to during Step 2? If I recall correctly, besides technically Ren and Baxter, he's not friends with any named characters, and they're kinda distant from their parents. So do they have unnamed friends we just don't see?

So, I have some questions about the OLBA LIs for Step 4. - Is there anything that Cove associates with comfort while sick? Did Cliff or Kyra have any kind of rituals for him like specific food/drinks or movies/shows from when he was a kid that today make him think “I need this specific thing when I’m sick.” - What color would Derek or Baxter want to wear at their weddings? (Sorry if my questions seem long-winded; English isn't my first language, so I sometimes struggle to express myself.) 1. What are OL1 LIs' thoughts on tattoos? We already know Cove can have that beautiful ocean-inspired tattoo in Step 4, when did he first come up with that idea? Have Baxter and Derek ever considered getting tattoos at any point in their lives, even if just on a whim? 2. I imagine my MC knows how to tattoo professionally and safely. If an MC who's built a closer, more stable relationship with those boys wanted to tattoo them to show cherishment, would they mind? If not, do they have preferred designs in mind? What If MC got a tattoo symbolizing them, how would they react? 3. As Baxter ages, will he gradually stop dyeing his hair? Would he feel comfortable letting his hair grow slightly longer, like in OL2 step 1? Those soft, draping, dark gray hair paired with his peachy skin feel like stardust to me🩶 4. In Step 4, how would Baxter interact with an MC who, once a relationship forms, exhibits childlike, clingy traits—especially in body language? Like those playful everyday moments where they'd suddenly start clinging to him like a sloth without a word, melting all over him with attachment.

Are we going to find out the reason why Tamarack and Qiu stopped being friends in part 2 or will that be kept a mystery? since during the prologue for part 2 it is worded as if Tamarack and Qiu didn't simply grow apart but that there was instead an event that ruined the friendship they had.

I wanted to ask if there was a chance that if the olnf mc wasn't in a relationship with tam or qiu (but baxter was still in town for something) if they'd reconnect and potentially start dating or if baxter wouldn't feel comfortable with that for whatever reason? 2. What is the top ick the love interests from olba and olnf have in regards to a romantic partner? nothing as serious as moral failings or political opinions but maybe something like constantly being on their phone while watching a movie together. what's something small that they would consider breaking up over? 3. If you were to rank the olba and olnf LIs from most yandere to least yandere where would they be? This is also under the assumption that they have the capacity to be unhinged like real otome game yanderes, like how xo baxter would kill people he stops talking to (lol) rather than just the potential of being yandere, if you get what i mean. Really looking forward to the early release this year!

I know he’s a very relaxed parent, so I wonder what his limit is. - For the OL1 love interests, what were they like as babies / toddlers? Though, wouldn’t he be a super popular kid with those looks with many crushing on him? 2) Tagging to Q1, OLBA Step 3 highlights that Baxter doesnt have much friends. Considering he had hookups, parties etc, it seemed like he would be quite a popular guy! Is he popular or is he a loner? Happy New Year! Just one question this time around. I know Tammy and Qiu can be envious of the MC over something. Are we going to possibly see them be envious of each other? For example, Qiu is envious of the fact that Tammy does well in school. Or Tammy being envious of the fact that being well-liked by their peers comes more easily to Qiu and not to her. It would be surprising that they could feel this way with the MC but not towards each other. Hope you have a good January!

Hello and Happy new years! I have been obsessed with the our life games since I found them. As someone who moved frequently growing up, I really like that you included non speaking options. When I was younger I often had a hard time using my voice, especially after a move. My question is related to that, will you include a reaction from other characters (specifically Opal, Qiu, & Tamarack) once/if your mc starts speaking?

I just played both games for the first time and my question is what did you do to me ugh my heart Now actual question: any chance for a Derek cameo? It'd be great to see how his story continued in the time offscreen--even if it's just in a Jeremy-cameo-sized way! :)

Hi! Hope the team has had a good start to their year! I have a few questions. 1. Unsure if this has been asked before, but how is the MC personality (shy, casual, etc.) determined? I’ve had a few playthroughs where I’ve chosen shy options towards new people (excluding Opal, and Tam and Qiu in once the MC and them become friends), and I’ve gotten casual as a personality trait. Is it because I’ve just chosen other options that have somehow given me the casual trait despite choosing mostly shy options? 2. Regarding OLNF, how is it determined if MC swears or not? Is it automatically decided that MC doesn’t swear if you choose decisions that don’t include any kind of cursing (even “family friendly” cursing)? 3. A bit self-indulgent, but how would Tam and Qiu react if MC/their partner streamed (either full-time or just for fun)? Would either of them watch their streams or would they ever join a stream? For OLNF: 1) If this isn't going to something that comes up in the game itself, how did the first meeting between Granny and Gramps and Nichole go? 1.5) Taramack being born didn't exactly bring harmony to the Baumann Clan, but was there a time of cordiality and relative peace during the early years of her birth? 2) How did Serenity and Tamarack first meet/become friends? I don’t know if my questions are upsetting in any way so if they are just skip them. 1: In step two Qiu is overall very ‘moody’ or just generally upset and unhappy with everything. Will the MC be able to mirror that behavior/ go through a rough time as well? 2: I know this is incredibly specific but I am disabled and was asking myself if the MC would also get some kind of option or anything later on to maybe use a cane, wheelchair, be chronically ill etc. (Not just in OL2 but maybe other games you’ll be doing in the future) Again, super specific, was just genuinely wondering.

For future games, will you continue with the theme of seasons? The first game was summer, and it was set in a beach town, and the second game was fall, and it's set during school season. So if you are doing winter and spring for future games, what concepts would you like to do? Like for winter, would you have it set in a ski lounge/winter hotel? 2. You have an option during step 2 to say: 'You totally had a crush on Ren!' or something similar, what characters would you like to have as DLC love interests? Or are you planning to introduce some on a later date? 3. Would there be a 'reunion' kind of thing between the characters where they could interact between the first and second game? Like the OLNF gang goes to Sunset Bird for the summer and meets Cove and everyone due to Baxter wanting to reconnect or something? 4. Would any of the LI be open to polyamory? I know they don't have birthdays yet (I think) but might I suggest Qiu as a Libra born on September 28th (National Good Neighbor Day) and Tamarack as a Taurus born on April 22nd (National Earth Day) I just think it suits them perfectly! 3. Since theres the possibilty of wearing Qiu's jacket again in the future steps, I want to make sure I don't miss a single one. After each step is released, can we get an exact number of opportunities we have to wear their jacket? (In all 10 moments) And can we get that number for the recent demo update 🙏 4. Will there ever be a chance for us to offer Qiu to wear OUR jacket?

Would he have like… war flashbacks or accidentally call the child ‘Cove’. Bonus points if the kid acts like our sassy blunt Step 1 Cove as well. Would Kyra generally feel/react the same? 2.) Connected to the first question, how would Cove feel about having a child that looks identical to him and even acts like him. Would he realize like ‘Oh wow, this is what my dad and mom had to deal with. This is karma’. 3.) I read somewhere than Cove is an early- riser? How would he feel if he’s with an MC who wakes up late. Like me… when there’s no classes or work, you can see me waking up at 1-2 pm, skipping breakfast entirely. If they’re married, would he just leave the MC be or wake them up? That’s all. I was curious which translation Hong and Yi have for their names, as there are several for both. (That is, if you had picked their names with meanings in mind! You may not have, and that's totally understandable with how much has already gone into this game). Second question: Is Yi's name pronounced "E?" And final question: Which OLNF characters would have accents (if we didn't consider their potential voice actors not having them)? I assumed Yi, Omi, Opa, and maybe Yusuf, if he wasn't born in America.

Hello, this is my first time participating in a Q&A and I have to admit I'm kinda nervous. I apologize if these questions have been asked before and if they are rather long. Feel free to skip if they are too long or they're against the rules. 1. Will there be scenes where our MC's hobbies come up? In the demo, I really appreciated how in depth I could get into what my MC liked during the choosing electives and clubs/sports sections and was wondering if they would appear again later. Obviously I'm not expecting you guys to make whole moments on so many small choices, or reveal what exactly you have planned. But if I choose soccer for example, would there be little things in the background like MC leaving practice at the start of a moment or MC having a tournament when fall ended. 2. Is there a way to headcannon the MC of OLBA and the MC of OLNF to be related and fit into the timeline. While distant cousins are always a simple answer, I wondered if it would need extra leaps in logic for them to be closer as OLBA's MC has to have been born in America and their biological parents have passed while OLNF’s MC can be from anywhere and makes it seem as though Opal is their only family member in there. I just like the thought of the MC's having a connection and wanted to base my characters and possibly a fanfic around the idea. While I've always been an avid enjoyer of visual novels I've never had one hit as close to home as Beginnings and Always & Now and Forever has. It truly means a lot to me. Hello and happy 2026 everyone! 1. Does Qiu have a pain stim of some kind? I noticed in moments where Qiu is feeling overwhelmed, they'll often do something that the MC says seems painful. Do they do it to ground themselves or as a form of self-flagellation? Or was the character quirk unintentional? 2. Under the assumption that the Holdens and the MCs family is close, how does Liz view Mr. Holden by Step 3 or 4? I know she probably doesn't see him as a father figure like the MC can but is he just her neighbor, a family friend, or honorary family to her?

Hey! Finished OLBA recently and thought it was cool that Cove was diagnosed with autism at the end of it. I'm autistic myself, and was wondering if there's any chance we'll be able to make our characters autistic in-universe in OLNF, not just in our own headcanons. OL series is my first visual novel game, and I’d like to say thank you for introducing this interesting genre to me. For questions, English is not my first language, so please don’t mind if there’s any broken sentence. 1. There seems to be a lot of rainy scenes in OL2. I’m curious if this is because of the main fall season theme or just because of the town location setting. I really love the vibe anyway. 2. I tend to keep my mc deferring to Tam and felt like this feature is more subtle comparing with Qiu being jealous in Step 2 public demo. Is the jealousy feature intended to be shown particularly more dramatic than other attitude features? 3. I’m quite fond of Vianca. Is there any possibility for her getting more screen time as a side character in the future? Specifically I’d be glad if she gets moments like Terry and Miranda did in OLBA Step 3; but I wouldn’t mind if my he/they mc is simply standing around her alongside with Tam, at least during Step 2. Heyo Kab, David and Team! This is my first time participating in a Q&A so i'll just keep the questions simple :D Tho first i wanted to say thank you for creating the Our Life games! I adore them & hold them very close to my heart. When i first played OL1 i was in a bad place but playing the game really gave me comfort and saved my days! So for my first question i was wondering, would it be a possibility (maybe even with a kickstarter) for you to release an artbook based on the OL games? Cuz i really love collecting artbooks & would be thrilled to have an OL one too. 2, how would Step2 Qiu react if a love interest MC (with a russian heritage) called them "sunshine" in russian as a nickname? And lastly, 3, in Moment "Wheels" if i recall correctly, (if you pick a Skateboard etc.) Ren says that theyre not as fast as bikes. But later on she starts skating too, so when did she get a Skateboard and started to learn how to skate? That is all, thank you again for everything you do!
