OL2: Beta Build 1.4.19 📝 (PC, Mac, Android)
[Normally I don't post on Tuesday, but the beta was ready so I decided not to hold off until Wednesday. However, there may not be a post on Wednesday to make up for this schedule shift.]
Alright, as sad as it is to not have any more scenes during the OL2 childhood, it's very exciting to be continuing life into high school! From here on out, all betas for the next several months will be focused on Step 2. More of the prologue was added now, however the prologues are always super long. There's quite a lot of content left to go for it.
There's a couple BGs that are only sketches right now, and the high school classroom background hasn't been started at all so that's using the old Step 1 classroom location.

And since we've had some problems in the past with so many people downloading beta builds that they get locked out by Google Drive, I've uploaded mirror builds! If the first ones listed don't work, you can try these.

Or you can bypass the quota by logging in to a Google Drive account, then on the file's download page, click "Add shortcut to Drive" in the upper right corner. Save it to your Drive, then create a new folder, put it inside, and download the folder!
Save files from the prior beta should work in this beta!

I'm really glad to be focused one hundred percent on the next Step of the story. I hope you'll enjoy getting to spend more and more time with the teenaged versions of Tamarack and Qiu 🥰️.

The android download mirror keeps saying this file has been deleted?? Edit: got the Google drive to work but still just a psa!! Im so very excited I havent played since the original steam demo thank you so much!!! 🥰🥰🥰

I love the prologue so far!! I really like that we can choose our hobbies and activities and everything :) Can we still be into dance/ballet later in the prologue/step 2??

Oh man, once again GB Patch team it’s awesome! It was such a jumpscare how it really felt like I was back in high school again Thank you for putting so much time and effort to researching extracurricular activities but also high school sports! I know that takes a lot of time and having it in here was super cool. Keep up the amazing work! I look forward to next months beta <3
We don't share the same classes or extracurriculars which is kind of funny. Still love all the variety
Alright played through the new build and all I have to say is you have no idea how thrilled I am that we have the ability to choose a school team as part of our high school life, that more than anything I was hoping to be a feature in this game with school being a bigger focus and having the ability to become what I would call the "Dorky Athlete" among my friends
Oh man, I ended up in a homeroom alone my first go. I got punished to the extreme :'D (Not sure where to put this) There also seems to be a bit of a sprite issue when Qiu and Tamarack are walking to school with the MC. Qiu's sprite is up high enough that the image is cut off. (Qiu where did your legs go?!)

Amazing update! Love being able to pick our hobbies and Qiu being so (lazily) supportive as crush/best friends 😭. Where do you get the option to call Opal by name? Is it in the Step 1 prologue or a case of just typing Opal where you'd normally put "mom"?
It's an option on the settings screen when deciding what you call her!

Brooo so I was replaying the beginning of the step 2 prologue and when it got to the line, "Qiu and Tamarack weren't friends" my laptop bluescreened (this isn't the game's fault, my laptop's just really old lol) and I like to think that it was just so appalled by the development that it couldn't take it and had to shut down. Anyways great update!
