OL2: Beta Build 1.4.18 😭 (PC, Mac, Android)
It's been a long beta road, but we now have a full Step available for testers! Saying goodbye to childhood is sad, but at least the gang will be back for Steps 2, 3, and 4. In a way, things are still only beginning for your Our Life life 💕

And since we've had some problems in the past with so many people downloading beta builds that they get locked out by Google Drive, I've uploaded mirror builds! If the first ones listed don't work, you can try these.

Or you can bypass the quota by logging in to a Google Drive account, then on the file's download page, click "Add shortcut to Drive" in the upper right corner. Save it to your Drive, then create a new folder, put it inside, and download the folder!
Save files from the prior beta should work in this beta!

So excited to play the updated beta!!! I love that the game remembers you're lactose intolerant, except I'm very lactose intolerant in real life and still LOVE eating dairy haha

Love love love the demo!! Just wanted to let you know about a small bug. While playing "Mixed Up" it acted like my character was lactose-intolerant even though I said in the diner "You liked ice cream sometimes," or whatever the exact wording was. I had done a playthru with a lactose-intolerant character right before but went with the boys club for that moment, so maybe something carried over? Again small bug, overall great game and thanks all your hard work!

Good afternoon, I wanted to report a possible error, when I tried to open the continuation of Stage 2, the same scene opened for me as in previous versions of the game, first we meet Tamak and Qiu, then we go to school and then your art "Thank you". and the game closed, tell me what to do
I got a glitch in the demo where Qiu eyes are missing when he changes into the costume for the dance. Nearly gave me a heart attack because I was skipping through the dialogue I already read, looked up and saw eyeless Qiu XD That looks like some "That's not My neighbor" stuff XD Definitely a funny glitch though, wish I could share the photo here somehow XD But it lasted briefly, when he started talking he got his eyes back. Edit: They come and go at random.
I'm sooooo excited for the drama of the jealousy mechanic, even just the little snippet we see in step 2 prologue was 😚🤌 God bless you GB Patch for giving me a will to live 🙌

It's only in one scene and only for certain expressions!
So ya as many have brought up already there's a weird thing where Qiu's eyes phase in and out during the conversation with him during the ballet performance, also is it possible to save during Step 2 now without causing any problems to the save file when transferring over to the next beta or should we just not risk it yet
Thanks for the report! There could still be some kinks with Step 2 functioning with everything else. Waiting for perhaps one more beta would be for the best.
i got a recurring error on the same screen when i got to the step 2 transitional prologue bubbles. specifically after the one that says "Add one extra year and you graduated again. At fourteen-years-old you were about to begin high school." ... i got this error when i played on 1.4.17 and also on 1.4.18! it might be playthru specific and this file may be bugged but im reporting it nontheless <3 i originally posted the traceback code on the patreon post about 1.4.17 so i wont post it again, but the error is the same!!
Thank you! It could be something that's fixed in different playthroughs but can't be removed from the original playthrough that have it.

There’s a lot of errors once you get into step two prologue, don’t know if it’s just me but it mostly appears once a choice pops up. But besides the point can’t wait to play it!
Are you loading a save? Sometimes older files just won't work with newer versions of the beta.

isn’t Qiu supposed to have their hair in a bun at the shop still? They have in the artwork, but in the shop and in the office they have it down
Yes, they are meant to have that. But there were problems with getting the image to display so for now it's just the standard sprite. Betas don't always have 100% finished visual assets. It's like how there's not snow details in the neighborhood even though it mentions that in the script.

Love this!!! Can’t wait for step 2! I love the angst <3 Btw there is a glitch that forces the jacket you pick onto all of your saves as well! It goes away after you take it off but still. And near the end of this update some dialogue merge together- “It was impossible to think about tomorrow without seeing Qiu flipping through his notes and without a grin on his facegrins on their faces…”

It didn't happen in the last version I played, but this time when Qiu came out to show his Nutcracker Costume he has no eyes??? They reappear when he starts talking (I can DM you a screenshot of what I mean.)
It's happening to me to. I think, for me, it is anytime his eyes are wide open. All other variations of his eyes work fine.
