OL2: Beta Build 1.4.13 📏 (PC, Mac, Android)
True words Mrs. Murray 😄. The February beta is ready to go! It features Part 2 of Colorful Class, but also the first few scenes of the 10th Moment, Home. That's a really big Moment so we decided to get a head start on it. The extra testing needed for that is why the beta is launching later in the day than usual.

Screenshots can't be posted, videos can't be uploaded, even discussing what occurs in the events publicly is not allowed and will get your access to future builds revoked.
You can do all of those things within the private GB Patch Discord server or leave your feedback as a comment.

And since we've had some problems in the past with so many people downloading beta builds that they get locked out by Google Drive, I've uploaded mirror builds! If the first ones listed don't work, you can try these.

Or you can bypass the quota by logging in to a Google Drive account, then on the file's download page, click "Add shortcut to Drive" in the upper right corner. Save it to your Drive, then create a new folder, put it inside, and download the folder!

BRO I was gone for half a year and I come back, just finished fancy fun, bawling. I'm trying to play the moments by update-order, and omygosh, this moment got me. ⚠️!! SLIGHT SPOILERS AHEAD !!⚠️ Idk what it was but the moment between Tamarack and Tamarack's grandparents had me barreling in so many emotions, in both uncomfortable and comfortable ones. And the music!! it added to the feels😭 I know I'm late to the party, but, I freaking knew that Tamarack's opa would be some grumpy guy that would give sweet or wise advice at some point, so happy to see it. Will update more as I continue.
Just finished Hide & Seek and Magic and HOLLYYY, idk what y'all ate to make those but you guys were COOKING. The roller coaster of emotions and MORE TEARS just kept pouring. It was beautiful, I loved the writing in both of them so far. I'm slightly surprised by how deep we got with the love interests, lore/backstory-wise. Or just knowing their pain, I don't remember it being as deep as it was in Beginnings & Always, but I love it. I'm so in love with the writing so far. AND THE MUSIC?? AGAIN?? sobbing. on the floor. Their fight in Hide & Seek destroyed me, Qiu's feelings hit hard and Tamarack has gotten me aching internally. I love how relatable they both are
Qiu basically confessing his crush on the Mc TO the MC was so cute omg 😭 How come this ten year old is smoother than I will ever be?? 😆
I think my MC is gonna save all the meaningful pages of Qiu's note books in a box in their room. Of course Qiu needs most of them back though cuz they're a cute little scatterbrain. 💚 I'd also love to see more art from Tamarack, maybe MC inspired them to become an artist?
i really loved the second half of colorful classroom! tamarack and qiu both had suuuuuper compelling conflicts. it introduced some really interesting sides to both characters (qiu being aware that he's forgetful & internalizing that to think that people think he doesn't care and tamarack, despite her seeming like she doesn't care about what other people think of her, she clearly cares about people thinking that she's doing or making something bad.)
No you don’t get it the number of times I have replayed this beta already is ungodly, this has to be one of my favorite moments so far
Amazing update as usual! I really loved part 2 of Colorful Class. Especially the whole part with Qiu asking my MC to safekeep their pencils and all. I think this is a nice "prelude" of sorts to how in step 2 my MC is just going around them and wordlessly picking their stuff and what not, and it's presented as something that's just how these two work. In a sense, this small moment could be considered to be the first true step towards that the way I see it - more than any previous instance of the MC picking up papers that belonged to Qiu. It's because this is the first time it's an agreement between the two, a responsibility that actually belongs to the MC in regard to their relationship. Also, I'm so happy the pencils and the drawing were actually added to MC's room! I was hoping for that, and I wasn't disappointed! Interestingly enough, I think one thing that actually genuinely shocked me was Opal forcing the MC to go to school in Home after all only a few minutes before their supposed departure for the next-town-trip. I guess it's just different education, but my mother is always VERY strict about keeping one's promises and agreements, especially to each other. So if she told me I wouldn't go to school when I was a kid, she'd never change her mind and make me, no matter the reason. Even if she couldn't spend the day with me, she'd leave me home or with friends or something. So the breach of trust was really strange to witness here, from my perspective! I believe this is the first time any MC parent - in both Our Life games I mean - makes something that really makes me balk! I mean, I'm not saying this as a "bad thing"! Just not something I expected nor something I can agree with on a personal level! That's just not okay behavior to me. But that's fine too - since I want my MC to have a rocky relationship with his mother in future steps, this works nice like a first seed of discord. That aside, a small issue I had: in Home, my MC went out without outer layers or an umbrella, and Qiu tried to give him their jacket. I picked for my MC to "nudge it back" towards them, since he likes the rain and all. But then I get the exact same phrasing again ("You nudged it back towards him"). I know it isn't an error per se and just the MC doing it again, but I was wondering if maybe it was intended to be phrased differently, since for example other options say how MC "still" doesn't do anything and so on? What is most likely an error on the other hand is Tam asking twice why is she the only one with an umbrella. First time after the first instance of nudging the jacket back towards Qiu, after which Qiu explains how they like the rain so they are invincible to it. And second time after Qiu puts the jacket back on, and this time Qiu seems to ignore her question and say they'll be late.

Omg, Colorful had the most adorable moments soo far! They were soo fluffy and cute! Colorful is soo far my fav moment!
During home I was just shouting the whole time “MOM i already bragged to my friends that i was staying home!!! You know how embarrassing that is!? Walking into school after already telling ppl you’re gonna stay home!?” And I just kept shouting that at 5am lol
Small thing: During Home, a few options in how you respond to cancelled plans (such as calling her a liar, or joking about it) tends to lead to a dialogue redundancy of mom mentioning driving you to school twice. Also the Qiu stuff at the end of Colorful was sweet, fantastic stuff.
