Considering the different wake up times that Qiu and Tamarack has, it's no wonder why it became a rare occurrence for the two to leave together with the MC by they reach Step 2. Even if they remained close friends, when you end up doing less things together as you are growing up, the easier it is to start drifting apart, esp. if you don't try to reconnect every once in a while.
