Probably the start. The only reason I'm guessing that though is cause Cove's mom also has that ombre hair thing going on, and apparently that's natural for her.

This is so cool! Question though, if you're hair does fade into the cranberry color, will the game mention it as a similarity to Opal?

The character creation of this game is some of the coolest I've ever seen it's so fun and I feel like I can really flesh out my characters both personality wise and looks wise. It's honestly one of the coolest things y'all do

Oooo gradients. How will other characters refer to your hair Color in this case? Will they just go off the top color and choose a basic color to refer to it? Or avoiding mentioning hair this time around like it's the usual anime/GB Patch universe?
It will probably be called whatever the bottom color is rather than the roots, but we'll see when it's done

This is so cool!!! I absolutely adore highlights, so this might be one of my favorite customization options! One question: Will the updated color customization be added to the beta at some point or will it be saved for the final game?
It will be in the beta eventually, but I don't know when!
