OL2: Neighborhood BG Afternoon (Step 2)
To continue our prep for the public demo update, the Step 2 neighborhood has gotten a version during the daytime! You can see all the differences so clearly with this lighting.

I love seeing the number of plants growing at tamma's house. It looks so lovely and colorful.
I'm curious - which window is Qiu's vs. Tamaracks on their houses? I know MCs room window probably overlooks at least one of the houses. Short question: Could the concept of flashlight signaling eachother at night be a thing logistically? Asking for science(and writing fanfiction)
Qiu's room is front facing towards the neighborhood, you can see Tamarack's house across the neighborhood from their window. Tamarack's room is more to the side of the building. The MC's bedroom is at the full back of the house and is angled towards their backyard. So, sadly there's no way to communicate through windows in canon. I didn't want to write anything related to windows after how big a thing that was with Cove, haha. But you could certainly reimagine that for a fanfiction.
Aww, it’s the same houses but it feels so different from step 1 💕💕 I really like that there are little changes to show the environment growing with the characters, just like in real life!!
I'd have to assume this would include the updated scenes with Tamarack & Qiu. 😁 I wonder if there'll be the addition of additional base game Moments in the updated demo, or would that have to wait until more of the DLC moments become available to playtesters?
I don't plan on adding more Step 1 moments to the demo. I only like to update the demo every six months or so. There will be this Step 2 expansion and then hopefully a small Step 3 preview next year, but then it will almost be time for the launch so that'd be the last expansion.
Hey, we know now that Qiu’s house has a breakfast nook in the wizard tower bottom floor but what’s on the top floor of wizard tower?
It's just another sitting area except on the second floor, haha.
I'm playing spot the differences from the Step 1 BG and this one!! 😆

I apologize for asking this if you've already answered it, but do you have an estimate for when the public demo update will come out :)?
It should be around the end of the month I believe (I remember the devs answering questions about this on another post)
