OL2: Beta Build 1.4.4 🍎 (PC, Mac, Android)
Yeah, I wasn't gonna post on a Tuesday, but I realized I'm leaving on a trip tomorrow and it'd be better to just have the build come out before then. There's no law saying I have to post at the exact same time everyday, haha.
So we've now got the first Step 1 DLC Moment fully playable. Hooray! You can finally get through the night and come out on the other side.

Screenshots can't be posted, videos can't be uploaded, even discussing what occurs in the events publicly is not allowed and will get your access to future builds revoked.
You can do all of those things within the private GB Patch Discord server or leave your feedback as a comment.

And since we've had some problems in the past with so many people downloading beta builds that they get locked out by Google Drive, I've uploaded mirror builds! If the first ones listed don't work, you can try these.

Or you can bypass the quota by logging in to a Google Drive account, then on the file's download page, click "Add shortcut to Drive" in the upper right corner. Save it to your Drive, then create a new folder, put it inside, and download the folder!
Save files from the prior beta should work in this beta!

The beta is so much fun but am I the ony one that if you do the sleepover dlc if you decide to sleep with your special blanket and pick to wake up after Tamarack and Qiu after you notic the blankets missing a message will come up saying an exception has occurred and a file named silent is not defined it won't let you move for in the game but you can you back to the scene before the message
The beta doesn't seem to be any different but I may be missing something
I don't know if it was mentioned already, but when the Baumanns are making breakfast, first it says "Until, one by one you began to sniff the air. Sugary and savory, breakfast was on its way." Then the very next line was "You three talked in quick, hushed words until one by one you began to sniff the air. Sugary and savory, breakfast was on its way." So it was a little redundant
I'm having an issue getting it to open on Windows 11—I think it might be a renpy problem but :( Are there any possible solutions?
Can you let me know what the problem is? Do you click it and nothing launches or something else?

This is my first time downloading an update, do I need to start over or can I copy-paste into the original?
You need to get rid of old versions to play the beta!
Thank you for this update! As always I played through all of it like my life depended on it 🥹🥹🥹 Everybody else also mentioned a bug but I'll also say the 'dare qui to kiss' choice leads to skipping to the end of the sequence to kiss related choices. 'Dare both to kiss' plays normally and I had no problems with only 'dare tamarack to kiss'. I could recreate the bug by following 'say goodnight to granny', 'saying we'll be good', 'lying we'll be good'. Hope this helps!
I also got the Qiu bug!
The fixes for the first half are good but an error I spotted if you dare Tamarack to kiss you, Qiu also kisses your cheek as if you dared the both of them. I'm not sure if the same will happen if done with a Qiu exclusive choice but it does occur for Tam's

Aaah it was nice to play through it without the errors related to why my MC is unhappy with the situation! It felt so much more natural! I can't exactly call this a cute or sweet moment since it was so upsetting for my MC, but it was very interesting! Especially considering my OL 1 MC is a very positive and chill person in general, meaning he doesn't get upset. Like never. Or well, almost never. So that sort of content is pretty new to me in the series! That aside, I still had something that I believe is an error, though a minor one. When eating breakfast: "Things hadn't started off the best with this type of syrup, but when you took your first bite it tasted wonderfuly of what must've been real maple flavor" - my MC put syrup in his tea only, so it shouldn't mention it tasting good with the first bite but rather the first sip. Not a big problem like I said, but still a small continuity error!

Don't know if its just me but when I try to choose a moment when playing on android I had to tap so many times like it just doesn't register.
Ah, same for me. I was about to ask if anyone else had this problem. Since the Moment icons can be moved around it never registers my tapping as a selection and just moves the icons. I find it so frustrating that I most often don't want to play on my phone. Or, if it does miraculously register my furious tapping after a couple minutes I'm angry & frustrated while starting a new chapter, and I hate that I'm not relaxed and having fun in this VN that should be relaxing.
Hi! Just wanted to ask something, in the kiss dare, if you ask for them both to kiss you we have a cute scene... but if we ask only one it just skips it, is this a bug?

Unfortunately the link does not work on android, i keep getting the message that the file in invalid
same here. the Google Drive link for android kept freezing my Patreon app (i assume thats expected for when you say "when the Google Drive link does not work") and then the Dropbox link worked, initially, until the "Update App?" prompt lead to the same issue Romeo is running into about the results reading the file as invalid. i tried both methods twice, same thing happened both times 🤷

I had to uninstall my older beta to get the apk file to install on my phone. I am fine with it since I don't mind remaking everything, but you might want to wait for a potential fix if you don't want to go through the tedious task of going through *everything* again.
