I feel like a lot of big reaction channels use the bottom style. I could be wrong though.
The bottom may very well may be better for the algorithm, but the post is asking us what we prefer so I had to pick the first one. And like fred said below, white text on the episode number would be cleaner. I'm just an old millennial fart, but my two cents is: the bottom one isn't nearly over-the-top enough to be insulting clickbait, but it's definitely CLOSER to that than the top one is.
I like the original but YouTube is a beast, so honestly just try both and see if you get more clicks with the new one.
Top. blurred background, desaturation, white drop shadow (or glow) around buster and black border around title draws the eye to Buster the show title. The new one with no blur, no drop shadow, border around title AD episode, etc...the eye doesn't know where to look. It's a subtle thing...about "composition". I used to be a video editor is how I know this stuff
Top buster, you two in background neither. Seems youve gone for extremes - washed out or over saturated contrast autotune mess. Top title is better, but have the 1x06 in white for better vis. Saying all that, will that get you better view count? prob not, who the f knows what the stupid algorithm and people click on. Go for hyper mess, maximum mouth stretch and earn $$$
