Arrested Development 1x01 'Pilot' Full Length Reaction

Been waiting for this one since I first saw you guys

saltana is a shriveled grape? It looked like some type of chocolate candy or nut.

Love this show so much. Hope y'all find it enjoyable as well.

David Cross (Tobias) had a hilarious sketch comedy show on HBO in the 90s with Bob Odenkirk called “Mr. Show With Bob and David” (“Mr. Show” for short). It only lasted a couple of seasons, so if you were to react to it (hint hint) it wouldn’t take long to blast through it. It also had a young Jack Black and Tom Kenny (the voice of SpongeBob). They also had a ton of surprise guests like Patton Oswald, Sarah Silverman, Maynard James Keenan, Dino Stamatopolous (Starburns).

Man, the GM and Maeby stuff is just the tip of the incest iceberg with this show. There are countless incest jokes strewn throughout this series, which is amazing for what was meant to be a mainstream network comedy.

When Tobias auditions it looks like he's in a high school gym...what's he auditioning for?

Ya this show is insanely fast paced and it might be hard to react too cause when you talk you will miss so much.

Next time jokes aren’t in the next episode but they point to the direction of the plot

I believe the banana is put on a stick, dipped in chocolate and some kind of topping like nuts, and then frozen. It's kind of like a candy apple but cold.

So so glad you're doing this show.

LETS GOOOO

I love that you're watching this alongside Archer so you can get the full Jessica Walters experience

So glad you guys are reacting to this: one of my most fave shows. I recommend checking out the extended cut of this pilot (I think it's approx 40-45 mins long?) as it adds a few extra character lines and details that I think really help to solidify the profiles. For example: that last convo with Michael and George Snr in the jail also has a moment right after "worst attorneys" joke where George Snr mentions the "family comes first" line that Michael states at the start of the ep, kinda highlighting that the apple doesnt really fall far from the tree

The next time bits aren't really spoilers and have unique jokes if I remember correctly

Baby we got a stew goin

Always watch the "next time" end scenes
