Refinding My Passion Ep. 3: Humility or Cringe Avoidance?

Yoooo, omg this episode has such a funny origin. I had been talking to Hunter about this the day before; how weird it is when you have a hobby where you are right in the middle of being "normal" at it and being truly great, and how weird and unique that is to pretty much only eSports-style gaming. He said people who are truly good at something are often humble. While I was streaming I went out to take a break and this epiphany just hit me. What if those almost-pro level people were just truly stuck in the middle. They know people who are, and strive to be, so much better, so to the person who asks "how good ARE you at this," they might be AMAZING, but to THEM, they're middle of the road.

What are you guys feeling? Am I onto something, or purely overthinking? I think these thoughts are what makes my brain unique. I know I get a lot of comments on some of my best philosophy videos that I am overthinking, or with the jist of "it's not that deep, yo," but to me, it lights up my brain to think this way!

Anyway, normally, I don't have a camera set up and ready to rock, but this happened to be one serendipitous moment that I did! Cool, huh?
