Why I Don’t Use Diecast Bodies 🚫 Plastic vs. Metal RC Bodies

When it comes to picking out a body for an RC vehicle, the huge variety of nicely detailed diecast metal models may be tempting to use. Personally though I tend to not use these heavy weight bodies for functional RC projects for a number of reasons. While such a project may be possible, it is important to keep in mind some of the shortcomings that may result from using a much heavier body. In today's video, I'll not only explain why I prefer to use plastic bodies, and only recommend using plastic for our 3D printable chassis designs, but I'll also talk about some potential alternatives for hobbyists not interested in painting and assembling a plastic model kit.
