I'm kind of disappointed that the American gundam isn't like... cowboy themed or some shit. There are two American stereotypes in Japanese media and they picked the less funny one.

I have zero interest in giant robot anime, but when I realized that these episodes were about G Gundam, which I know of as the "ethnic stereotype Gundam series", I decided I had to listen to it.

What would the American stereotype Gundam be today? Like every time it fires it's cannon it somehow misses the target and hits a school?

When Tom asked about "the mecha anime with the boobs" my mind went to "Gunbuster" instead of "Gurren Lagan". Generational differences, I guess. Given the usual subject matter of LLBD, it would be interesting to see them tackle mecha anime where the mecha are treated like normal military hardware like "Full Metal Panic!" or the Gundam shows that aren't this one. Probably a lot of Joe yelling "Bullshit!" 😆

G Gundam is nuts, but I remember doing drinking games while watching Gundam wing so it holds a special place

My actual favorite Gundam is from the second series, that I kind of think was some lie from the early 2000's internet. It's Neo Thailand's Lumpini Gundam. I've only ever seen one still of it from the anime and one still of it's model kit. It's dope even if I'm confused by it's lead hand being a mace ball, cause I'm not sure how you clinch up with one hand.
