Never played Magic or Warhammer, but I worked at GameStop for entirely too long and my god Magic players take the cake for the worst people, and not just for being smelly
Thank you for your service
I haven’t played 40k or been to any sci-fi conventions, but I’ve played a lot of magic and a lot of smash, and magic wins by a landslide between those two. Magic players are so much smellier.
40k easily wins the stink war. As a former player of both 40k and MtG, i stand by my statment. Some of the dudes i used to play against had me wanting to forfeit just to escape the smell.
Another fun bit of Pittsburgh based labor history is the pressed steel car company strike/riot. Happened just west of town and the strikers actually got concessions
Fun (?) Fact about the "Invoke Prejudice" Magic card: according to one of the comments on the Gatherer database, the artist is a straight-up nazi. Wizards stopped using his work not long after Ice Age.
That checks out. I think that within the game the effect of "Invoke Prejudice" is extremely spot on to the real-life effects of prejudice. You cast it and all the player's creatures start shooting themselves in the foot by resorting to racism and ethnic cleansing.
Fuck the Pinkertons and all that obviously but does anyone else think it's weird that Alan Pinkerton died under mysterious circumstances in that plane crash?
Have read a big chunk of the Unabomber manifesto, can confirm that it’s got a lot of insane race war shit.

Carnegie's a fine example somebody who attempted to buy their way out of hell
Ive been waiting for this episode forever!!! Fuck the pinkertons!!! They are still out here fucking with strikers, allegedly they even poisoned a pittsburgh post gazette workers dog(which is incredibly fucked up if true).
3,485,843 dead pinkertons, world is a fuck
Feth yes, Gaunt's Ghosts
The skripal assassination happened in my home town (Salisbury) it does have a very impressive cathedral but yeah I don't think two crew cut wearing russian men were there to satisfy their enjoyment of medieval architecture. Him and his daughter passed out on a bench in front of Greggs. A friend of my stepsister worked as a waitress at the restaurant they were eating at where they probably got poisoned and had to quarantine for two weeks and undergo extensive police questioning.
ok i used to work for the pinkertons lets see how guilty this episode will make me feel
ok fair amount. sorry boys o7
I would like to add the Baader-Meinhof Bande to the discussion about weebs in the gym and pregnant people... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frequency_illusion
Okay what happened with the Pinkertons regarding the magic cards; WotC distributes new releases to vendors ahead of schedule so that they can have the product ready for official release. The man who was raided by the Pinkertons bought product from a vendor and the vendor accidentally gave him cards that weren't released. The man leaked the new cards online, prompting WotC to accuse the man of theft(I believe the pinkertons told the man he could either give them the cards they knew he had from the leak, or they would take every magic card in the house.) - Kyle P.S. Adult Yu-Gi-Oh players are the foulest smelling mfs I have ever met
