Wait, the Battle of Tannenburg had horny T. rexes? On bicycles? I mean, that's adorable, but I don't remember reading that in history class.
wouldn't "le fascisme c'est cul" be "fascism is ass"? (I'm like 99% sure Nate did that on purpose)
If you liked the T-Rex erotica you should check out Eat Fresh: Flo, Jan & Wendy and the 5 Dollar Footlong.
nobody ever said that we liked it
In sweden during the cold war the infantry used bycikles in the forest on narow roads and paths and you could carry your bike. And when going further on roads long ropes were used to drag companies on bikes. The finns used this on skies during all of there wars calling skijoring.
Great series. Although familiar with the Battle, most of what I had read lent focus on the Russian incompetence, but clearly there was lots to go around for everyone. Just glad to know the Russians learned their lesson and went home to be the Swedes of the steppes.
As a bike nerd and a history nerd, I looked up what type of bike was most likely being used by the German army and it would have been terrifically uncomfortable to ride. It's a singlespeed with a gear ratio that's would make acceleration a trial, since the bicycle itself prolly weighed about 50 lbs, not including all of the gear strapped to it. Spoon break in the front, coaster break in the back, a saddle that's just thick hard leather over a couple monster springs. This coupled with wool pants and sweat and all that Germany swamp ass makes me think these guys were so effective because of the berserker rage brought on by chafing so bad that no man among them still had an intact taint. Also, there is kindle erotica about the Battle of Tsushima. Weirdly enough, they talk about the differences in the ranges of the Russian and Japanese guns more than expected?
I believe the swiss still have 'modernised' bicycle soldiers: http://www.2-pedals.org/HTML/Lastenraeder/lastenraderarmeevelo93.htm
Stupid Mongolians always knock down my City Wall!
I would buy a copy of the WWI bicycle infantry twink erotica in a heartbeat. Then again, I read CoD slashfiction on AO3 like a teenage girl on tiktok.
oh, you people must be why that femboy version of Ghost keeps showing up on my timeline
I will pay money to have Joe narrate a chapter from the Trex novel
The Battle of France is really interesting and misrepresented. My understanding is that the Maginot Line worked pretty well but it could never be completed because of Belgian waffling. And that the fall of the republic was more due to the French ruling class thinking "better Hitler than Blume" rather than military defeat.
This is Chuck Tingle erasure
I'm surprised Chuck Tingle didn't show up in this episode.
World's Greatest Author Chuck Tingle is 100% serious and 100% meme worthy.
Nate is not exaggerating about the heat in UK. It got so bad a runway at a major airport melted.
