"I'm not in the North Caucasus, Liam, I'm in the South Caucasus..." ... Uh... I dunno, my Eurasian stereotypes are weak. Something about land mines and petrochemical authoritarianism, surely?

For those who are interested, the reason the Roman cavalry was atypically effective in this battle was because they weren't Roman. They were mostly Numidian, a relic of the Jugurthine war. The Numidians were pretty much the best cavalry in the Western world at the time, and after Roman took control of Numidia it gave them a big advantage in cavalry for around a century.
I used to be able to send it to my podcast player, I don't know why I can't do it anymore
If you want to make fun of the Danish just say that Danish sounds like drunken Swedish.
