Fun fact Wyoming is still sort of open to drinking and driving the law is that it just can’t be within reach of the driver so passengers are free to drink in my local area we have a place that sells slooshies (alcoholic slushes) through a drive through they put tape on the top to get around having a drive through bar if you remove the tape and get arrested it’s not there fault
The guy who plays Vorenus is also in Dog Soldiers and The Last Legion, where he plays a soldier and a Germanic warlord. I’m pretty sure he wasn’t a soldier in that NBC series that lasted about two seasons in 2005, but that’s about it.

My dad, then CO of the USCGC Ocracoke based in Puerto Rico, was supposed to be deployed to the Persian Gulf during the 1st Iraq War. But it was called off. I think the longest deployment was a couple months in Haiti after Hurricane Hugo.
I have some buddies that were in the Coast Guard. I was amazed that they deployed and at their jobs. It is very interesting to know that they operate in international waters all the time but it is just not known
Back in the 60s you can drink and drive in Texas. But now it's illegal. Also, Texas is the worst state to get a DUI. First time offense is at minimum $10,000 fine, install a breatherlyzer in your car (at your expense), and will have on it your record permanently.
My dad was pulled over in Wyo with an open beer more than once with me, late 90s/early 00's, but was always let go because it was legal then and idk was drunk 🥴 wyo was the last state to change drinking age to 21 too haha
