Joe, Nate, and Tom examine what happens when people get so mad at the concept of Protestantism that they do 16th Century French Rashomon. It's part 3 of our ongoing series on the French Wars of Religion.

This series appears thanks to research done by our friend and colleague Dr. Joel Butler.

I think that bit about Dracula being a Protestant might be canon in the Netflix version

It should be no surprise to anyone that Nate, notably a bisexual resident of Switzerland from America, would conflate a German boy and an American girl of presumable French descent in Augustus Gloop and Violet Beauregarde, respectively.

No Joke, as I listened to the last name bit, I had the order for a patient with the last name 'Sillé' come across my desk. This must be a sign.

Nate, have you been watching Fantasia a lot recently? I think this the second or third time you've mentioned Night on Bald Mountain or Chernabog in the last few episodes. Also, along with the dinosaur part, the night on Bald Mountain part is always what I wanted to watch.

Upper respiratrory tract infection led to ear infection because of Eustachian tube, a tube that leads from tympanic membrane to nasal part of pharynx. It's main functions are presure equalization between sides of tympanic membrane and drainage of mucus from inner ear. During upper respiratrory tract infection it may become blocked leading to ear infections.

I'll point out that most celebrated Artful Fool of that age was deemed extraordinary for his main bit, which he HAD to perform at certain fixed yearly courtly events; to fart thunderously on command. If you can't do that like become a theologian or scheming courtier or like (if tall) Fetish Bodyguard to some prince in the Holy Roman Enpire

My brothers. By the time period it is WITCHES; who among other things stole Christian men's cocks at Satan's bidding to prevent Christian procreation. Also Spanish Inquisition was hunting for Jews. A great great great .... grandmother of mine got dragged in for questioning twice. Didn't get executed so idk maybe eccentric enough to not be deemed capable of heresy Cum is not a humor because it's meant to be expelled & not recirculated. its one of the seven effluvia
