If the Patreon hits 10k Tom should get grills
I loved that brief moment when r/wizardposting merged with LLbD and I felt like I was back home in my wizard tower
I don’t normally give random plugs but this one rocks. Bobby Fingers greats dioramas of scenes in pop culture lore. One such scene is Steven segal fighting judo Jean labelle. Worth a watch https://youtu.be/3aCMTpJx2cs?si=luzD94pREHyqN0eZ
Just coming here for the first time - catching up on old episodes and trying to decide what my golden question will be. Great podcast, makes me think of my old friends and exes in the military (even if I wasn't)
Did you use AI generated art for the episode cover? I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed.
They sure did.
Billhooks are normally used for trimming hedges or pruning trees.
Love it. Also, just finished Operation Paperclip from Annie Jacobsen. I know it’s too broad of a topic to cover but the sections on biological and chemical weapons are fascinating. Some of the individual stories from it are ridiculous as well. I am a History teacher in public schools and staring my masters in “War Since 1945.” Love the podcast!!!
Hate to tell you this but those windshield Monster decals are still around lol
As a young punk we would make "Sidewalk Slams". Drink a high grav 40 down to slightly below the top of the label and dump in a four logo. And I wonder why I don't remember much of my 20's. Four loko is fucking iconic and everyone was mad when they took out the caffeine.
I feel the need to point out Buckfast Abbey is in Devon, so you don't *have* to invade northern england to get it to Tom
Four loko never the same when they took the magic out of the can
Truly America's greatest crime. We're not even allowed to have fun here.
I'm 2/3 of the way through and this one feels like more off-topic banter than actual story. I like the banter, but fuck.
Shaking hands with Joe for first job solidarity.
Tom with the lil ugly man reference <3
Four loko at least in Minnesota is just a fast way to make you fat from all the sugar that’s not on the label. It doesn’t have caffeine anymore. The red flavor is basically malt liquor Hawaiian Punch
Smh we used to be a proper country
Keanu Reeves will be shadow in sonic 3. (Seriously)
This is a deep cut, but the media contribution that I appreciate Steven Seagal for is that he's the blatant inspiration for the weeaboo father of one of the Persona 2 protagonists. The character is named Steven Silverman and he's a white guy who moved to Japan and insists that his daughter grow up to be a proper Japanese lady. The writers were clearly taking the piss.
I always like the episodes about anything in pre-modern Europe. It is absolutely wild to me that Europeans came to dominate the world considering that they have always been dumb as shit
The Emperor of San Francisco was a major character in Christopher Moore's books Bloodsucking Fiends, You Suck: A Love Story, and Bite Me: A Love Story.
Dammit man! Macedonia wouldn't have potato-flavoured vapes! Potatoes are from South America!
Grilliam Wallace is a concept that I wholeheartedly endorse.
Cock Sparrer? I hate you both. So jealous...
Corpse Marsh!
"I'm going to saw my landlord in half." "For a magic trick, right?" "..." "For a magic trick, right?"
Joe was a loader and not a gunner for the same reason he wasn't a cashier. The Joe Lore expands
That was the worst Geordie accent Ive ever heard jesus christ
I used to be a king like you, until I took an arrow to the face.
Look man, the monster brand clothing provides a 15% buff to kyles drywall punching ability. His socks already stand up on their own, let the kid have his one thing.
Y'all should watch Culloden (1964) at some point. It's a black and watch "docudrama" acting as if it's a documentary film in the 1700s. It's about the titular battle during the Jacobite rebellion.
Tom I worry you may be too online
Seriously I seen ADHD and autism people like me more on track then Tom is at times
Bruce Buffer is an announcer, erm I think you meant to say the Pope is like Herb Dean
